hey ppl! I am having a problem with the the skin uploading of LFS World. I made a skin and put it on the site, and I updated it today, and it still shows the old one. how do I fix this? or if the devs are reading this, would you mind deleting 2 skins off your skin database so that it will be as if its a fresh skin . the first one is LX4_CaterhamR400.jpg and the second one is LX6_CaterhamR500.jpg thanks!

did you check your updated skins later on by any chance? Like, upload the new versions (just on top of the old ones) and then _reload_ the whole website.
This I'm suggesting because some browsers have pretty heavy caching for images, so it might be that what you see is a cached image (the old skin) and not your new skin.
So just reload the whole website and check if they still show your old skins. I think your new versions will show after a reload.

To add to Victor's comment, try a Control + F5 refresh, as in most browsers this forces a cache clean.

i'm forcing a refresh now by adding a timecode at the end of the image url so it shows up as a different url each time to your browser.

When i try and upload a skin to LFS-world, i get a msg saying somethign like there is already a skin with that name on the database, which is understandable, but underneath that, it should show the skin that has already been uploaded. Instead there is just this little picture saying "No Access".

Any help here?

Maybe somebody upload a skin with the same skinname...you delete your old one ?

then your browser's identification variables are are hidden. If you've done this yourself you'll know what I'm talking about - otherwise my guess is that you have a slightly overly sensitive firewall. Norton is known to hide browser variables, which is imHo nonsense.

either way, the message that there is a skin already is true, so just rename yours and the upload should work fine.

I had the same problem and I open the PSD file and saved it again with a different name. Then it was totally fine.

lol, yes i know that i can just rename and upload it and that'l work, but i didnt' want to upload the same skin just with different filenames because i couldnt' identify that the one already upload is actually the same.

But anyway, disabling my firewall enabled me to see the skin that had that filename, which was the same skin

Sorry to, but I have a problem like yours.

A friend of mine uploaded my skins in his lfsW account, and his account is demo now. I have edited my skins, and when i tried to upload it appear that the skins are already uploaded. I want to upload them with the same name, how can the old skins be deleted?

you'll have to write down some more information, like your friends username or your skinnames so we can look into it. Or if you don't want to post them here you'll have to mail them to us http://www.lfs.net/?page=mailus
