Same here. The only icon still left is the bin, and sometimes a download or some pic I needed for editing. But they dissappear quite fast.

I have everything in the quick launch bar, and otherwise I just go fetch it from the file.

Check if you have the service "Themes" running
If you have removed them, just use Windowblinds 6.0
