I don't think the old escort is really that slow. I mean, yeah it's a 1.3L but it isn't heavy. And it's still fwd Some bigger cars, especially older ones accelerate slow and can be beaten easily by small cars, like the escort or even fiat punto etc...It isn't about 0-100kph
Yea mate been meaning to go to santa pod, im a part of www.saxosportsclub.com they make regular visits, looked into http://www.wizardsofnos.com/ but to be honest, i think id just fry my engine with a straight 100 bhp shot. Was looking to get a bmw 328i/325i coupe in the not to distant future, so think the sax will stay standard to be honest
lol, nah just something i found flying on the net mate, im only 18, think the insurers would laugh in my face if i attempted to get insured on that lol
Paying 1300 for Third Party F+T (10 month policy) on my dads name for my saxo... bloody daylight robbery
I think they are cars wich look old and slow but arent that slow at all..to be honest I thought this thread was about homeless people before I saw that picture of that engine in the first post
Doesnt have to be old. People always associate tuned cars with the wide arches body kits etc etc u no the type. Sleepers are really cars that look like they are just an everyday car but go like stink. A good example of this is the 2 cars posted above.
Another good one is the Fensport Corolla. A toyota corolla hatchback but will do over 200mph but to look at you wouldnt know it (search google to see what it looks like)
personally, id pick bikes everytime. much lighter, much faster, and now the jackpot answer....much cheaper.
but i have seen a corsa 1.2, still badged as such, stock outside, steelies etc, but with a 400hp audi quattro 3.2 engine in it. didnt see it go, but my god it sounded mean. the only way you could tell is the race buckets and the side exit zaust
