And Round Two Is Coming and its going to be worse
Yeah - that's some nasty stuff going around. I know that these things can be dangerous, but I'm hoping for the worst. I'm in Virginia, in the mountains, so tornadoes and such aren't as likely, but I haven't seen a good thunderstorm in years now.
OK...lets all go and watch "The Day After Tomorrow" again, then we will know why this is happening.

/me stocks up on thermal knickers.

You do know that the Day After Tomorrow has no Scientific basis, right?
Quote from Jakg :You do know that the Day After Tomorrow has no Scientific basis, right?

Its a movie so i know its true.
That post would've been easier to read with all the duplicate reports removed. It'd also have been about a quarter of the length

Yes it's all bad news. But then Madison County TN seems to sit in a tornado alley, doesn't it?
Well since records began some boffins in white coats with Teffal heads have pointed out that there's some kind of cycle of getting more or less tornado's, and over the last few years its been getting worse for the US with it expected to start settling again in a few decades time or something.

Unlucky.
Quote from Jakg :You do know that the Day After Tomorrow has no Scientific basis, right?

True, but it has some truths in it. They just wildly extend it
As people that don`t realize that global warming is a problem or human made - go live in a cave in shame. But let`s not start that discussion again, most users on this forum is 1) - eighter too ignorant 2- too stupid to understand that matter of global warming.
But like I said, don`t start it hehe.

I never said that, just that it has NO scientific basis.

Good film though :P
I recon it's god's fault cus thats who the insurance companies always blame.

So who's got him/her/it/them p!$$#d then ?

( please note that this is a joke and in no way implies the existance or nonexistance of god )

Hehe true, they take it way to the extreme
Yeah, it`s a funney movie

Sorry for going off topic
what!? You are saying that a film produced in Hollywood might not be completely the truth!?

Hang on, you are not one of those people who refuse to believe America didnt single handedly win the war are you?
I refuse to believe it!

Only a single American man in a vest who breaks all the rules can possibly succeed at beating the enemy. Everything else is a lie!
Quote from sil3ntwar :Its a movie so i know its true.

Quoted for truth, everything on TV has to be real.
Quote from P5YcHoM4N :Quoted for truth, everything on TV has to be real.

Of course i mean who doesnt belive TV?
Quote from AstroBoy :Of course i mean who doesnt belive TV?

Exactly, everything on TV is true otherwise it wouldn't be allowed to be shown.

While global warming definately exists, there is no proof that it is man-made.
In fact, we started collecting data about weather in the Little Ice Age in the in the mid 16 hundreds, and the temperature was rising more or less rapidly ever since (with a few dips downwards due to reduced sun activity and volcanos). As a matter of fact, we haven't reached the temperatures of before that little ice age. Back then, wine grew in GB.

Of course, we might have influence on the global temperature, but I am somewhat sceptical that we can alter it in a way which would cause quasi-apocalyptic events to take place.
There's always one, isn't there?

Hehe we're not gona start our 7 page or so discussion on global warming again are we?

edit: Not that you're wrong.

Ok, it is proof that it`s human made. It`s mainly because all the Co2 we have produced in the air and such. And btw, most people get confused because there allways are temperature rising and lowering in the normal time aspect of the world. At some times back in history (we`re talking 1000`s of years) there were much warmer than now. And it`s been much colder too. It`s a normal cycle, it goes from ice age to warm times, it`s all naturally. But here is what most people takes wrong - because it`s rising too fast. There have never been a temperature rising this drastically as it have been the latest years, and it`s proof that it`s human made. Mainly because the poles are melting, and the poles are working as a cool "shield" for the earth, reflecting back som of the sunlight aswell as heat, making it cooler on the planet. A other thing is that it`s big amounts of Co2 and other gasses that prevent the heat that comes to our planet to go out again. I`m not good when it comes to english, so you just got to excuse me for telling this on a simple way like this, but to short it down -

It`s human made. Some scientist does take it too far, but still, it`s proven that there is a connection between the way humans live and the rising temperature on earth. It`s going way faster than it has done before, and by that reson alone we can say that it`S human fault.

Of course - if a super volcano (as they are called) would erupt and release insane amounts of gass, then we also would experience a big temperature difference, and it`s proved that back in history of the planet this has happend before, if there were anything like that we could blame the volcano`s, but atm it`s our fault

Sorry for going off topic, just had to lighten up my heart for some oppinions
Quote from The Very End :There have never been a temperature rising this drastically as it have been the latest years, and it`s proof that it`s human made.

Wtf that's not proof. Despite a semi-lengthy post, you managed not to prove 'global-warming' is human's fault once. n1.
