Pedal Problems (brake stuck on a tiny bit)
Hi i am having problems with my pedal , the brake (and the throttle but less important) dont go back to 0 when i take my foot off so i am driving with a bit of brake (everyones pullin away on the straights) if i pull back the pedal the brake will come off and i get normal acceleration but thats a workaround and i was wondering if anyone had a solution? (eg a way of gettin lfs not to use the hole pedal axis range)

hope i made sense

thanks in advance
Hi,

I had this problem before and these threads show the answers I received for my MOMO.

I eventually had to take the pedals apart and fixed them following these instructions.

That has lasted about 3 months and now I am having the same problem as you, the brake is staying on a bit.

I guess I'll have to take the pedals apart again.

Anyway here are the links to the threads, i hope this helps.

The simple (and maybe best temporary) solution would be to create a bit of a deadzone at the top of the pedal so that it doesn't detect the small amount of brake that's stuck on. But obviously that only works if it really is a small amount. You don't want to lose half of your brake travel to stop it.
You don't state your wheel, but sounds like a MOMO.

Logitech MOMO Racing wheel must have link.

Also, DXTweak2

One more is the clear calibration utility.

http://www.wingmanteam.com/lat ... r%20Calibration%20Utility:

Do at least the pedal axis tape fix in the first link. Use the "clear calibration utility" then recalibrate. If you have any issues after that, use DXTweak2 to fine tune the top or bottom points of the pedals.

DXTweak2 is also priceless for setting up a clutch pedal for LFS with a 2nd set of pedals.
thanks for your help guys, its not a momo its a thrustmaster 3 in one or something, i think i have fixed it by downloading a calibration tool, andthats given a good 2 secs improvement in lap times for me at the moment.

thanks
