Debian server

One note... when installing with apt it doesn't not install the library 2.0 but only the 1.0, so remeber to add library 2.0 also, needed by Lapper. I don't remember the exact name of the package, but doing an "apt-cache search mono" u'll find it easily near the end of the list.

Bye! (and thanks for help)

Very important notice!!! Thanks! LFSLapper now working in Ubuntu

Trouble with laper
I have problem with laper on Debian Linux 4.0, version laper is 5.52. I added 2.0 library.

When I started laper this is what returns to me:

mambo:~/lapper/bin# mono LFSLapper.exe ../cfg/LFSLapper.cfg

Hello,

I don't know. It's a linux/mono install problem, not a Lapper One.Sorry

Gai-Luron
Thanks anyway!
Hello,
i am having trouble with
Quote :Use @ sign at end of patterns, if you wish to specify users, that are allowed to execute action

I was using an older version of LFS Lapper and i never had any problems with this, i did it like
!start@user1,user2,user3,user4|/restart|
I also tried it using adminlist.txt:
!start&./adminlist.txt|/restart|
Even !start@user1|/restart| doesnt work, but
!start|/restart| does...
I got several actions before and after it, they all work - but as soon as i try to restrict a certain action to certain users it doesnt work anymore.
UseUsernameForAuthentication = true - of course
Any help is appreciated!
Oh yes, i forgot,
correct me if i am wrong but the "too slow driver" option is kind of useless if it already checks the first lap... I think the first lap should be excluded from that.
Thanks for your hard work.
hi all
Gai-Luron where i download deathrock.be 1.0 Lfs stats script ?
i try other scripts.but i dont run they.
http://www.deathrock.be/datas/ i download files this link.after i see deathrock.be's lfs server stats.
Hello,

FM-Failure:
I look for user that are allowed to use command. Strange that don't work.
I can't exclude first track, because if player don't want do a lap. The fonction don't work and you can have player doing bad things in this lap.

Max Torque:
I don't know where you can find this script. Query to Deathrock admin!

Gai-Luron
I have few questions:

1. Can you inprove lapper that I can to control him from server in game? I want to turn on or off lapper from server with some simple code.

2. Can you inprove lapper that he take .cfg file from FTP server and then that I can change lapper config file directly from FTP?

I ask this because host for my servers game are at provaider of internet, and I can't access directly to my host.

Thanks for futher answers!
Hello,
You not answer on my question
You can do registration racers for local server without master-server? For demo and S2.
How synchro OFF?
Hello,

@ZolArT : LFS use lfs account as unique ID to avoid multiple record for same player using different nickname. it's normal and i don't change it
To remove sync put # before each config line relative to this feature.

@srdjanmilasinovic : i look for your request if i can do it. Not sure

@FM-Failure : User allowed to execute action work fine here in AutoAction with Lapper 5.52. Maybe your cfg is corrupted, try to use a clean cfg file and try if it work with your Lapper

Gai-Luron
Great software, thanks for your efforts.

I would like to suggest a method of changing tracks. Place a list of tracks in a text file. Use the scheduler to end a session and to randomly select a track from the text file.

The text file could contain the short name of the track, plus the number of laps and a Y/N if a Pitstop is required. e.g: SO6R:15:Y
I can`t get the LFSLapper to work. I run Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

How I did set up the server

1. Extracted the files.
2. Fixed the admin password.
3. Started a local server in LFS
3b. Entered /insim 29999 in LFS.
4. Started the NETstartDefault thingy.
5. Message pops up in LFS saying "Insim - TCP : LFSLapper"

And then nothing happens after that. No driftscore and no response to my inputs like !drf

What am I doing wrong?

LFSLapper uses 1,1Gb of my ram. Is this normal?

Can you send me that working version with all set, pls? Then if Gai improve lapper, I will use newer version!

I use Centos which is rpm based. You'll need a Debian version.

Just go to the mono site www.mono-project.com and go to the Older Downloads section. You'll see all the previous versions of mono available for all the different flavors of Linux.

My old server used that particular version of mono so I know it worked. Most others would probably work to, but if you want to be sure, download the same version of mono for your particular flavor of Linux.

Please give us the versionumber of your Lapper and upload your configfile somewhere so we can check what's wrong.

Thanks for the cfg file.
You haven't specified a default car and I think there's something wrong with your racestartaction.

Quote :
# Action to do on race restarts.
# If more actions, separate them with '|'.

RaceStartAction = /msg ^3welcom ^7/^3 ar7b
RaceStartAction = /rcm ^7Welcom ^5/^7 Ar7b!|/rcm_all

#Default car to show, when no car is specified in !top or !drf command.

DefaultTopCar = UF1
DefaultTopCar = XFG
DefaultTopCar = XRG
DefaultTopCar = XRT
DefaultTopCar = RB4
DefaultTopCar = FXO
DefaultTopCar = LX4
DefaultTopCar = LX6
DefaultTopCar = RAC
DefaultTopCar = FZ5
DefaultTopCar = MRT
DefaultTopCar = XFR
DefaultTopCar = UFR
DefaultTopCar = FOX
DefaultTopCar = FO8
DefaultTopCar = FXR
DefaultTopCar = XRR
DefaultTopCar = FZR
DefaultTopCar = BF1

You made every car the default car, so !drf doesn't know what to show you. Mark every line with a # exept the car you want to be the default car when people type !drf
The racestartaction should be changed to:

RaceStartAction = /msg ^3welcom ^7/^3 ar7b|/rcm ^7Welcom ^5/^7 Ar7b!|/rcm_all

I doubt if a / in the message is aloud but you have check that yourself since I'm using a newer version of Lapper. Good luck and let me know if it's all working fine after you changed the mentioned settings.
I have a question: What are the points standing for ? (Image)

And is there any english Manual of using the lapper and configuration examples ?
