Now for my review (racing's over now, so I've time - till the superbowl...
):
When I first got there and I've been told the price, I had to think long if it would be worth spending € 50 on it... I did anyway, because I thought: "When do I really get to know two well-known guys from the community, plus maybe a few members of the austrian community?" I have to say, I wasn't disappointed in any way... First, I made a little tour to look, what the expo was all about... It wasn't, what I expected: Parts for roller coasters, inflatable castles and such stuff isn't exactly what I'm interested in... When I came to the cyberseat booth, Vykos was there and wanted to explain LfS to me (I was just quiet and let him talk) and when Tristan came back from lunch, he did exactly the same...
(yeah, I know, cheap copy of JJ79 :P) The whole Cyberseat-Crew was VERY friendly and involved me really... We did some "attention-runs" (like FZ 50 on BL Rally-X), which really worked most of the time (even with all the businessmen)... Of course, the FO8 was THE choice to attract the people there... In the evening, I was invited to the exhibitor's receipt, for which I can't be thankful enough... Tristan and Vykos went for a pub afterwards (at about quarter to midnight), while I went home to sleep...
When I arrived at the booth the next day, GP4Flo was already there and had his first run on the cyberseat... AndroidXP was already there also, I think, and we pretty much did the same as the day before: Getting the attention of the people, so they tested it out too... The seat itself is very much fun, it may only lack the motion for oversteer and the monitor should be moving too, but other than that, it really adds so MUCH immersion to the race, you just want to have it... Vykos left us at about 5 pm that day to get home to his family... After the expo closed for the day, Tristan, Flo, Android and me went to a restaurant called "Centimeter", and we had diner and some drinks... Flo left early to catch his train home, and the three of us got to talk till about half past eleven, then we all went home/back to the hotel...
Today, I had troubles getting to the expo in time and again, we had very much fun with the seat... With Vykos gone, Android and me now were in charge of talking to the german-speaking customers, which struggled with english... I think, people were as much interested in the seat as they were in LfS, but that might be just my imagination...
I helped a bit with packing the stuff, to return at least some of the kindness they showed me, but unfortunately, I had to go...
To sum it up: It wasn't so bad spending the money, I got three fun days and a little insight about LfS (which Vykos and Tristan passed onto me, thx), and most important, I got to know some nice guys I wouldn't had the chance to meet then...
