Bathurst is on of the best tracks in the world IMHO, it would not be allowed for safety reason if made now. If this is what is required to keep the high cost spectacle that is the Bathurst 1000 going then why not. Better than PPV to watch the race.

You don't have to buy the shite they try and pump at you. Just step out of the commercial world. I did this years back and have not looked back. Just stop buying branded shite, in reality it is NO better than non-brand stuff you just pay to be a billboard.

Don't the NHRA/IHRA run there, or used to?

It may just be that we need to work harder to get the money to race down here but We've had corner sponsorship here forever ( Well, at least 30 years )

Even the Wanganui Cemetery Circuit and Paroa ( both once a year bike street circuits ) have raised money by sponsoring straights & corners. Really can't see the problem.

And if you know Bathurst then you'd know that neither Forrest Elbow or Conrod are sponsored. Your talking fair dinkum history there

Personally it gets a bit annoying when you have sponsor x score boards and sponsor y track time displays. No problem with naming corners, tracks or pit straights but when you start sponsoring stuff you see on the screen only it gets a bit annoying and I feel a bit like force fed with the ads.

It's been like this for years. I don't see the big deal and why it's a problem, basically, supercheap is what makes V8 Supercars. :\

I dont really care about all these things. As long as theres a track there lol.

But 1 thing i dont get at Bathurst, theres a turn called "Holden Skyline".

What is that?

Whats next? Ferrari Beetle? Porsche Swift? Kia 575m Marranello?
