Oh snap! Stage6 was amazing. When I first got to the internetz youtube blew my mind. Than I saw Stage6, so fast, so sleek, so amazingly high quality. I hope Divx (or anybody for that matter) releases something like Stage6, I wouldn't even care if it cost money to upload (perhaps x amount per MB)

Ya you would because if it cost money to upload the site wouldn't get that populated for the simple reason a lot of people wouldn't spend the money on uploading their video. And for that reason the video section that the viewers could browse through would be a small selection therefor it wouldn't become popular. The real way YouTube, MySpace and other sites / hosting places like that make their money is by the companies that pay to place their ads.
Just my two cents, although it does suck cause Stage6 did offer a place for high quality videos.
Grrr! I was going to upload my LFS Amateur Cup movies to Stage6 since whenever its on youtube everyone moans and says my video is rubbish because of pixelbleeding
Yeah There really isn`t anything like Stage6 around at the moment. Youtube is just too bad quality imo, if it just could have been like...doubled..from what it is on youtube everything had been ok.
Unfortunately, almost nothing can replace those vivid, sharp, and absolutely stunning images being played back at almost native speed surrounded by an almost all back background buffering long enough for you to pop your corn.
It's a shame that the site that blew many away in terms of playback quality is now gone.
Well, at least there is this.
Edit: I think its the same exact thing as stage6 with a different catalog of movies. I remember watching Juno on it with my brother (but we didn't finish because it sucked up a lot of bandwith and disabled our internet connection for 15 minutes).
