The online racing simulator
Competition: Maximum Peak G on Skidpad
The game is simple: take a car, tune the setup for maximum grip on a flat surface, and see how hard you can make it turn in a constant radius circle.

Try to stay on the red circle at the 200m mark.

The first car in the competition is the XRG.

Post your peak G value and the time* you achieved it, along with a replay.

*accuracy of .01 seconds is preferred for ease of verification

NOTE: Changes made to the car as a result of modifications to the LFS executable are NOT ALLOWED. This includes direct modification of data in memory, either through LFSTweak or other means outside the LFS executable.
Am I allowed to hit the wall?

damn.
I'll give a NON-Tweaked car a try anyway :P
there you go 23g of uncheated acceleration on the red circle

hmm wasnt it about the "sideways" force? ^^
I hope everyone is measuring the constant lateral G's when going around the skidpad. Whipping the car side to side shouldn't count.

I think some results should be rather surprising, because as far as I know, most LFS cars pull higher G's than a real life counterpart.
I fully expect the cars in LFS to pull more G's than similar cars might in real life, both as a result of stickier tires and the aforementioned setup tweaks.

As for rapid direction changes, that's why I'm requiring a replay.

Shotglass' circle just happens to be perpendicular to the ground, rather than parallel.
Is 3 wheel drift (see replay) allowed?

If so, I got a pathetic 1.25G at about 1:47.16

bah pedantic germans
even the title asks for the peak force
and not to forget im legally turning on the red stuff
Sorry for the stupid question but...

How do you measure the G force??

Don't worry I figured it out from the attachments posted....
Hit F9. The G meters are at the bottom of the screen between the tire temp gauges.
there is no barrier *waves hand in fron of noobs face*

Has anyone looked at my first attempt?

Fear teh uber G!!11one

No barriers were used.

Ok well,

First attempt was somewhere in the 1.54g region.

Don't know the exact time but hitting it regularly towards the second half of the replay.

Opps missed the bit about the car !!

u all dont seem to understand the easy rules

car: XRG
replay needed: yes
spinning around/crashing: no

Well I think my entry was ok wasn't it?

It was 3 wheel dorifto, but constant radius 3 wheel dorifto
surely is, was refering to the second one
I can't seem to break .95g Anybody have any setup tips? I didn't know the XRG could break the 1g mark with its little pizza-cutter tires.

In the red circle: 2g.
Outside the red circle: 2.64g

... with a bf1

Will make one of the right car later

Quick go with 10 seconds of tyre adjustments got me 1.07g constant around the red circle. Peak would have been around 1.10. Dont think i need a replay for this poor effort
I think I have the highest non-cheated G so far of 1.25

But I obviously want to win, so I'm not giving away setup tips
