Except for one this whole legal challenge thing, it'll only drag it on longer and longer and possibly result in more embarrassing details coming to light and it's not as though the challenge is to whether he did these things anyway so I can't see any advantage of doing it other than one up man ship with the paper.

I'm not interested in Mosley, with his "impeccable high-level source close to the UK police and security services" (old money still buys friends in New Labour's UK), but I don't think anyone can prejudge whatever impulses are being worked out during his role play sessions.

it's just like saving a replay of a very good race cos you want to see it from trackside cam, onboard cam etc etc.

As you said before, the alleged national socialist fantasies are much more disturbing than anything else for certain people, especially Jews who have all the rights to feel disturbed by such kind of sexual role-playing. Yes but if you need to please major German and Japanese clients filming yourself getting sexually aroused by role play involving prison camps and speaking in German when your Dad was mates with Hitler is going to be interpreted as being about a rather touchy bit of history rather than a mere practicality because your hookers are German.

Commentary and facts on such subjects, especially when the original source isn't available (a 5 hour long video, it seems) should be separated as much as possible, but there's no hint of such separation.

Agreed - which is why the core of the this issue is really how it came to be in the public domain. People get upset by all sorts of images, but one would wish to prevent a 'governance by disgust' in the production and distribution of images.
In short, it is perhaps the tabloids that have shot themselves in the foot here. I think there are good reasons for being worried by the UK government's proposals, but the obsession with the minutiae of trivial figures like Mosley does no one any favours.
