The StormCup [Not part of the KY500]
Well, after being pushed by a few users. I've decided to give the stock car oval league (XRT) another go. It'll be called the LFSCAR StormCup (thxs to FM for the merge).

I also need a few admins. So please post if you're interested in being a marshal for the league.

I'm also thinking about adding the FZ5 with handicaps.

Schedule would be 4-6 ovals with road courses to fill in between the ovals (overall 10 races):
Race 1: Kyoto Oval
Race 2: Blackwood Rev
Race 3: South City Classic
Race 4: AutoX Layout
Race 5: Westhill
Race 6: Kyoto Oval
Race 7: Aston North
Race 8: Fern Bay Gold Rev
Race 9: AutoX Layout
Race 10: Kyoto Oval Rev

Tracks thinking of adding/replacing:
Aston Club
Fern Bay Green
South City Chicane
South City Town

I'm willing to go ahead with the league if I can get 15-20 people who signed and showed up. It'll be great if I can get a full field, but I'll be happy with 20.

Broadcasts are also planned.

Jatko, can you set us up with a subforum?
I'm willing to be Race Director for you...what days/times are you planning for these ?

Sunday 9:00 Hawaii Time (3:00 EST i think, i'm not good at converting)

Couple of suggestions/comments:
  1. Is 10 rounds a bit too many?
  2. You can only have 16 people at an AX layout.
  3. Is it 9am or 9pm Hawaii time (that's GMT-11?)
And I've PMed you some other bits and bobs.
We'll have knockout qualifying for that (I may just have one AutoX).

As for Hawaii time, it's GMT -10 I believe

I'm confused...

Is this being organized totally seperate from anything else or is it being run under the LFSCAR name?

I just wondered what you were going on about in the 'Collective name' thread
Ok. This is a Storm Racing event and we'll be using our own servers (specifically the [SR]Event). Since there's already another oval league in LFSCAR, I've had a chat with fischfix and it was decided that all three leagues: LFSCART, StormCup and the 360 league should be under one forum.

LFSCART will run regardless of the other two. But StormCup and the 360 will run staggered (StormCup first then the 360, and etc if both works out).

The collective name was just a inquiry of the name of the forum that'll hold all three leagues. But I think I probably should use the old Kyoto Nights forum.
Lol - Find an empty forum and Hijack it for your league - I like how you think
Well, it is a dead league and it is a XRT league. So who do I PM to get the forum?
What exactly do you mean by 'Getting' the forum? Making a new subsection or getting Mod rights for the KY Nights one?
XRT cup? sounds cool. as long as I the time isn't too late/early.

MistaTea might be interusted. (As long as it doesnt interfere with IGTC)

Schedule :
http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=36556

Times :

Quote from IGTC Website :
2) Events are held on Saturdays on a monthly basis and are scheduled to last from 19:00 UTC to 24:00 UTC.

2.1) Events start at 19:00 UTC with a 30 minute qualifying session.

2.2) Drivers are given a 15 minute break between Qualifying and Race sessions, from 19:30 to 19:45 UTC.

2.3) Races are scheduled to begin at 19:45 UTC and last for 4 hours.

It'll be on Sunday, so it shouldn't conflict with IGTC
Awesoem then I'll probably be there!

XRT is my favorite car :P
what are the times/dates? I have an TBO event this weekend though.
The league has not started yet and is still in the planning stage.

I'll give an official announcement when the league is in session
