Oops, didn't read the post properly. It's 'proper' name is Flight Simulator X.

I can no longer be bothered to go on FSX anymore, because compared to LFS, it takes a lifetime to load up, and once I'm finally in a plane, I usually end up crashing shortly after take off

It is quite fun if you can fly a plane (apart from the red bull one ) and have a decent PC

Does anywhere here got FSX Deluxe, if so would it be possible to make a copy of disc 2 and send it to me or upload an image of disc 2 to the web please. I just clean'd disc 2 and I got a different error this time at a different part, the error code I got was 1305. So if anyone could help me out because I feel a bit bad for my mum spending £60 and I can't play it, feels like a have wasted her money. I think I should ask if Microsoft can send me another disc as it is partly their fault as they have produced crappy goods.

I fly helicopters on it mostly, I'm crap at flying planes but not to bad a heli's

That's what I am thinking. I am thinking of getting another Motherboard what supports RAID and get another hard drive.

It's the take off, landing and hovering what is hard with the heli's apart from that they are easy. I use a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO joystick what has rudder control so it is easier instead of controlling the rudder with keys.

Just quickly going back to the thing about my HD. If I formated the HD and used the system restore disk would it reinstall windows or not, because if I format the hard drive I will have the space I should have. So could anyone be able to upload an image of DVD2 to the internet or send a copy of the image?

About the part about how good your pc has to be to run FSX, in the trailer it shows people showing them playing it on a laptop, there either very expensive laptops or they have recorded an image and pretended they were using a laptop.

I play FSX on a laptop, isn't that bad.

How can you fly a helicopter but have trouble flying an airplane?! Lol. I've always had trouble with the helis no matter how much practice I get.

I can fly them, just not very skilled, I can't land them. I need to try and get this disk to work, don't know how but I really have the urge to play the game now.

Sorted the problem with the error what kept occuring. All I did every time the error came up I took the disc out for about 15secs and then put it back in and pressed retry had to do this twice and now is fully installed.

Well as I sorted out the problem, I have been flying for about 1hr30mins, took me about 30mins to get used to the heli's again.

See the little 'edit' button on the right of every post you make, try using it once in a while.

And that screenshot, as much as it looks crappy with no AA/AF, I envy you for being able to control the 'copters. I have FS2004 and can't fly them for shit, but planes I can fly pretty easily I guess.

I know I should. I haven't put any AA/AF on my graphics card yet as I have done a fresh windows install today so I still have to setup my card. With the way it is at the moment it doesn't even lag.
My pc spec wouldn't be capable of running FSX with AA/AF
My specs:
Intel Pentium 4 - 3.06Ghz
1GB of RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
So I don't think it will be much capable of running FSX with higher settings. I should get a new pc but the end of this year so it will be able to run it then as I will be building it so I will design it around the games I want to play and the apps I would like to use.

I think I will remember to use the edit button instead of posting double or even triple.

Well every time is says to retry don't press anything, take the disc out for about 10 secs then put it back in and then press retry and it will work, you may have to do it a few times but it gets round the problem. When you take the disc out leave the disc tray open until you put the disc back in.
