They have a bundle over here for a PS3 with GTA4 and GT5P for 400 euros. It's really hard to not buy one, but i think i will wait. It is still a lot of money for a gameconsol. Maybe i will give myself one for christmas, i think they will be cheaper then (blueray is the most expensive part i think, and that will become cheaper now mass production can start since hddvd failed to become a standard).
So PS3 will eventually become better than the Xbox 360?, since it has got blueray?
I'm really tempted aswell to buy a PS3 pack, since i'll be able to use my good old DFP, and get to play some really nice games, and a ps3 with GTA4 and GTP5 for 400 euro's aint really THAT expensive, since a good graphics card is around the same price :P
Try and find the new version of the Mafia Sentinel, I think you can only find them on the 3rd island, but they look farking ace. I still aint driven a bloody Infernus yet, got a crib right next to a Turismo dealership though, so I have plenty of those to drive around.
I've been thinking about GTA IV all day now - if I wasn't saving for a car i'd of bought a cheap-o Xbox360. iirc the wait between San Andreas on PS2 and PC was from September to July, and that was because Sony paid for it to be exclusive for longer - Looks like i'll just have to wait.
Really tempted to re-install GTA:SA now - shame I spent a ridiculous sum on the "collectors edition" and then lost the bloody thing.
Best game of all time IMO. People say Tetris and Pac-Man are the best games, but running your dot away from other dots, or stacking coloured blocks in a row just doesn't compare They may have been good in their day, but this is here and now.
You guys might want to fly over to the Statue of Happiness at some point, the upper tier of the tower with 4 doors, jump onto that part. Lets just say you can discover the heart of the city.
you can only compare it in its day though...since 20 years later the games are gonna own GTA4 and it can't be Best game of all time if you are comparing this way.
Got into a bit of trouble with the fuzz and was driving up an off-ramp in an attempt to get away. Unfortunately, a car was coming off the freeway at the same time, so I ploughed into it and it set on fire (I love the way cars randomly set on fire ). My car was also totalled and I was a bit screwed as 3 cop cars turned up at the scene. I saw the car was getting more firey and decided to make a run for it. Lucky I did, it exploded and eliminated several of the police, and caused a huge chain reaction that blew up about 6 cars and killed everyone in the area, with the brilliant physics causing amazing flying for all the people in the area. Amazing!
Another good moment was within the first hour that I played the game: I was driving along upto the monument roundabout, and decided to bail. It was a bad decision as I did not realise how extreme bailing was. I jumped out, rolled along a bit and got absolutely hammered by a bollard. My body wrapped around it and stopped me completely. As Niko got up, I noticed there was a rather large bloodstain on the bollard. That was definitely a laugh out loud moment.
Good times, good times. *Still* haven't played online yet!
Anyone knows when will be the conifmation for the PC release? How was it with previous titles, when do they anounce the release date for PC version? or do they simply anounce it like a month before release?
I want to know shall i wait for it, and how long would i have to wait to know for sure will there even be a PC release...
And make some gameplay videos (some cool chase) you lucky bas*ards!
Rumor has it a November PC release is likely, but Rockstar won't offically confirm it. Several retailers have mistakenly listed a PC version for November though, and withdrawn it shortly after.
I still think its the type of game better played on a big TV with a gamepad though.
There hasn't even been confirmation there will BE a PC release, let alone when it will be.
Considering lots of companies (most recently Crytek of Crysis "fame") have pulled out of the PC market due to excessive piracy, I am not even sure there will BE a PC release.
I mean, it's not like they need the money, a PC version wouldn't sell anywhere near the volumes either the xbox360 or PS3 version has.
Well, i don't know, i'm not so much into programing and all that, but how can't they make a proper protection system in PC games? it's their own fault, who can resist pulling a game from torrent instead of buying it.... I don't know how Sony managed it, but the world would be a happier place if PC games are as hard or impossible to hack, something like that Starforce protection, that forced people to mess with HDD cables and stuff (i know Staforce was eventually bad for system), but something like that, that would make people buy the freakin original... not to mention the price, GTA IV for PS3 is 75! euros here, wth, the average sallary is 300 euros in Serbia...
It's their own fault as i said, if they managed the prices acording to which country they are shipping and how people live in that country, then the piracy would be cut in half.. I mean, if games were like 20, 25 euros in Serbia, i asure you there wouldn't be 99,9 % pirated copies...
Sorry for the rant.. anyway, what's with those videos!
I have to agree the game is good & has been improved immensely but after all said & done it plays just like vice city & san andreas.
All the hype over multiplayer just so you can have 16 people on a server, lol why?
a few examples if i may:
LFS 32 Players in a server
BF2 64 Players in a server
16 is pathetic & fails to impress me on so many different levels
Wow, I don't really know where to start with that one
So it's ok to pirate games because it's easy?
Just because the average game is expensive in Serbia, it certainly does not justify piracy.
And as for Starforce, the whole PC gaming community was up in arms about it, so quite how making something like it more prevelant in the PC gaming world would help is beyond me.
Your way of thinking so indicative of many PC gamers, and the reason why developers will eventually turn away from the PC market in favour of markets like the xbox360 and PS3
