Can you make super high-res screenies? If so, please help!
Hello!

We were asked by a car magazine for one or two dozen high resolution screenshots. But because I cannot make 1920*1200 screenies with full AA and AF, I was wondering if perhaps any of you might be able to help. And the bigger the screenshots, the better. I thinking maybe some of you can go higher than 1920*1200. And as you can guess, AA and AF is required. They need to look good for prints.

Some requirements :
Screens must be taken of default LFS. So no texture packs and no personal skins should be used.
The screens can be taken of any track any car. As long as the images look good.
And finally, no editing can be done of course. The screenshots must be direct saves of LFS.

Oh and really finally, the screens will be needed before monday evening.

Thanks in advance!

PS, if you need hires versions of the standard LFS skins : www.lfs.net/file_lfs.php?name=default_LFS_skins_hires.zip

Anti-Aliasing. Gets rid of jaggies.
You can't resize it, because they will look worse when bigger. Otherwise Victor could have just resized his.
Jeez...
These two aren't quite 1920x1200 but I hope 1680x1050 is worthy enough.

nice, keep'm coming

beefyman, no i think the minimum must really be 1920*1200 (or the 4:3 equivalent) or bigger. But probably there will be enough of those by monday. Thanks though!
Just a quick test, highly compressed to fit the 1.95 MB upload limit. I'll upload some better pictures tomorrow after I got home from work.
Edit: The picture was made with autostitch so it's edited in a way but only to merge the smaller pictures from LFS, is this allowed?

heh, if you're going that huge, feel free to mail 'uncompressed' to our lfstech address. Or if that hits your own email limit, let me know and we'll figure something out. Maybe best to post previews here first though.

about your edit - yeah i think that's ok. As long as the stitches are seamless and as long as it's a good shot
Though I must say i'm not sure if very wide pics will be useful for print. So try to keep the ratio's between 4:3 and 16:10

Thanks for the quick reply, as I said this was just a quick test. I'll make some more print friendly and better pictures tomorrow. When I have some good screenies I'll post the previews here and if you approve I'll send the full versions in e-mail. Hm, I should use the computers at work to make the pictures, it would speed up the process considerably
NZ, what kind of setup do you have?
Not the res you want but, i think it looks alright

I can provide top quality screenshots @ 2048x1536,16x AF,8xS AA.I'll try to get some and post them here tommorow.Does the people who get their pictures selected can at least see the screenshots in the magazine/show the article on LFS to these people?

I have an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB RAM and Ati Radeon 9800 Pro. I can only make 2x AA screenshots at max res(2048x1536) so I use a few smaller screenshots and autostitch to make a bigger picture.

if i may give you some advices:

- try not to take screenshots where you can see shadowless cars (lfs cannot draw more than 8 car shadows or so, looks very stupid)
- use some of the default skins, they look better than a grid full of plain cars (i believe there are some hires default skins in the hires skypack)
- use lowest possible jpeg compression

@MataGyula> the cars in some of your "panoramas" are very deformed, perhaps caused by wrong panorama settings.
Here's a couple I made, stiched together with about 8 photo's each if thats alright. Its still direct content and graphics from the game so I don't think it should matter if they're all joined together.

Sorry about the Deviantart links, its the only place i can upload them at the moment.

@mcintryej, whats those black/grey sort of lines in the top right of your BF1 picture? :s
Wind Turbines.

Wind turbines at the right, power lines at the left.

In general a good advice but that wouldn't match the requirements
