Quote from Jakg :as it still doesn't look much more advanced than GTA SA.

Wow - that's hilariously incorrect on such a massive scale that it's almost sig-worthy.
Quote from Jakg :but then I really can't see GTA IV being that hard on a PC as it still doesn't look much more advanced than GTA SA.

Methinks something like a E6300 and a 7900GT will be more than enough.

Hahahaha... not that I believe that my PC would have any trouble running GTA IV, but to say that it doesn't look much more advanced than SA? Oh my...

I laughed alot... and now 5 minutes later, I'm still s******ing at it!

Quote from Jakg :You can get a graphics card for £600 and have 3 in SLi, and a CPU for £650, and spend £350 on DDR3 etc, but then I really can't see GTA IV being that hard on a PC as it still doesn't look much more advanced than GTA SA.

Spot the person who hasn't played GTAIV before.

EDIT: damn silly word filter not allowing me to say a legit word

All i've seen is videos on YouToob, and frankly, it looked like GTA SA, which looked like GTA VC but a bit prettier which looked the same as GTA 3 but a little better.

Got a screenshot at "full size" that does it justice?
There are hundreds of screenshots around Jack, no need to post one here.

Youtube should never be used to judge anything.
i cant believe i'm about to say this...

I agree with JakG..

with all of the vids i have seen of it they all make it look like GTA SA with a bit of polish on it.

You Sir, need a spanking.
NO NO NO NO NO! GTA SA is terrible compared to this. The graphics are way better for a start. Sure, back in it's day, SA had unreal graphics, but now it's just terrible in comparison. It's nearly worth getting IV for graphics alone...

Then there's the physics, which are infinitely better than SA. Cars handle realistically (or at least, more realistic than SA), and there's rag-doll physics...which are just :jawdrop: lol

Understatement of the century JakG
lol hahaahh nice one

you really should have just stopped your post there.

Don't knock it 'til you've played it. It deserves every single review score it's got.
arrrrg whats worse is it took 10 seconds for the pic to load :banghead:
Jakg and Franky, you're terribly wrong It looks like 10-15 times more pretier than GTA SA, plus the ragdoll physics...
that was very good

Show me a picture then - please!

FTR i've owned every GTA (although I got I and II free) and can't wait to buy GTA IV.... on my PC.
I can testify that atleast on Youtube, it doesn't look too different from the last game. I haven't seen it 'live'.

It'll be great if it makes it over to PC. I don't mind waiting at all and hopefully Rockstar will add some nice PC only features at some point.

I imagine between the time you first posted asking for a screenshot, and now (several hours) you could have gone onto one of the hundreds of game news sites and seen as many screenshots as you wanted.

Regardless, you really don't get a sense of the atmosphere the game creates without playing it.

Having owned the past 3 GTA titles on both PC and Xbox each, I'd say it plays much better as a console game, this installment I feel will be no different. You're going to need a pretty wacky key layout to perform some of the commands.

I googled but I could not find a SINGLE in game pic - all are WITHOUT the HUD which makes me suspicious.
I can't really take screenshots of Xbox games.. but all you'd see is exactly the same pictures, with a HUD.
Here's some ingame pictures for ya Jakg, they're bad quality, but their enough so you can see the atmosphere, as people said, you have to see it in motion in order to apreciate the great graphics, physics and atmosphere...
Attached images
gta 1.jpg
gta 4.jpg
gta 5.jpg
gta 6.jpg
gta 2.jpg
And just compare those images to this-

Massive difference I see there, and that's an understatement.
oh please tell me that is NOT that dodgy haze you get in some games from driving fast in pic 2...... I cannot stand that!.

Otherwise, ta. Buildings look nice...

Again though im not gonna be playing it till its on PC so...

Ok, it does look a bit better than I thought :P

I still don't remember GTA SA looking that bad, but meh.

Nope, that cab went pass really fast, and my dodgy camera didn't manage to capture it well
It's movie-like, really when you're not glued to the screen
