Anyone play Age of Conan yet?
I've got it here in my office, waiting to be installed at home tonight... Anyone tried so far?
I am thinking of buying this game, but I am not sure yet.
A guest pass could help me decide
I might be able to help you out with that, I'll see how many are in the box. But then don't you need the DVDs anyway?? Finland is an expensive flight...
No need for DVDs, I should be able to download the client.
Let me know if you can do that. I'll PM you the guest pass when I open the box tonight.
Asked around on #aoc irc channel. The I should be able to play with the early access client (downloading that right now), but it also seems that I wouldn't be able to play in Europe servers with your key
Hm... Well, we can try it anyway.
Doesn't sound like a compelling game to me. Let us know how old Conan turns out to be though.
Never heard that one before!

(mm, yes I have)
I'm playing. Pretty fun so far. Bugs here and there, but that is to be expected with a launch MMO.

Bleh. I just came home from a gay pub quiz where my team finished fourth*. I don't need patronising by you.

Shotglass: There were four lesbians at the next table who I would've, without a second thought. More proof - were it needed - that there are hot lesbians everywhere. In your face, Becky!

* There was a picture quiz round where all the pictures were from Carry On films, and you had to name the film. That's where we lost our crown.

There's hot lesbians i'd do too, I got phone numbers for quite a lot of them.
Yeah I've been playing it since it came out. Really like it, no more Warcraft for me!

all 4? at the same time?

as for the topic where does it sit on a grind scale from precipice of darkness (about as much grind as i can take) to ragnarok?
I think too few people have made it to the level cap (read: no-lifes ) to draw any real conclusions for mere mortals, but looking at the forums, it appears that from 50+ it's a bit of a grind. Having said that, after Ragnarok, it's still probably a breeze at worst.
Isnt this game the generic hit NPCs till you level up and do quests MMORPG? My friends are playing it now and they are on vent chatting about it.

I told em it sounds a bit ghey like WoW, they replied with....'Yea but it has more stuff than WoW'.

Immediatly I know I am not going to bother with this game

With the exception of Eve (and to a lesser extent, AO), I can't think of too many MMORPGs that don't fit this mould. Yes, it is a 'typical' MMORPG. It's like a souped up cross between GW, AC and WoW.

Eve is the only mmorpg I have ever subscribed too tbh. Still eve is a really bad game, its just has a good social backing.
Heh,

Yes of course it fits the mould. However it doesn't look like a circus at all, and plays less like a circus that WoW so right there it has my attention.

I'm nowhere near 50, let alone 80 so I can't comment too much on the grind aspect. So far it's a very enjoyable game though.
I went ahead and bought this game too. So far I have quite enjoyed it, I quite like the combat system.
