I knew this thread was going to make me hate you Brits. I'm surprised by the number of tracks in Canada, though.
You must not be terribly far from Summit Point. Great tracks there, shame the main circuit has some surface issues. The Shenandoah circuit is a blast, though.
A lot ... to track in Poznań 350km, and to Kielce 250km. Almost half of Poland :/. Seriously in Poland we dont have many tracks, and I do not know even if it is possible to drive on it if You're not a professional driver...
Björkvikring - Not sure if they are allowed to race there yet. Dalsland Ring - 2 800m long racetrack, one dragstrip and karting track. Falkenbergs Motorbana - 1 843m long racetrack. Gotland Ring - 3 200m long, in 2009 it will be 7 375m long. Karlskoga Motorstadion - 2 530m. Kinnekulle Ring - 2 072m. Kristianstads Grand Prix - 6 537m. Ring Knutstorp - Racetrack (2 070m), Rallycross (1 110m). Linköpings Motorstadion - 2 137m. Mantorp Park - Short Version (1 868m long), Long Version (3 106 m long). Mittsverigebanan - 1 950m. Thats just the big tracks.. then there is alot of kart-tracks all over the place :P
EDIT: okey, didn't read the first post closely enough... didn't see that u wanted the distance TO the racetrack mybad! :P
dunno the distances sorry, but those figures are the lenght of the tracks..
Thruxton - 39.1 miles
Goodwood - 33.4 miles
Silverstone - 99.9 miles
Brands Hatch - 107 miles
Bedford Autodrome - 129 miles
Donington - 168 miles
Snetterton - 187 miles
Oulton Park - 214 miles
Cadwell Park - 228 miles
I could list more, but Cadwell Park is the furthest I would be willing to go. I go to Thruxton and Goodwood the most, so I guess my average would be about 35 miles.
Brands hatch is only about 15 Miles South from me the other side of the river, and Snetterton and Lydden Hill are probrably within 100 miles too.
Furthest I've ever been was up to Croft, I think thats over 200 miles North from here, also Anglesey, which is in the middle of nowhere.
Pembrey is pretty far away also, over 150 miles out West.
Nearest though would probrably be Crystal Palace, only across the other side of the City, you can see it from here, sadly it shut years ago due to Noise and safety concerns.
If you count ovals theres Arena Essex only about 5/6 miles East of here, but thats only a quater mile dirt bowl used mainly for banger racing and the local speedway team (who don't tend to do very well!).
My town used to have a quater mile speedway track around a football stadium, but that shut years ago too and was built over.
For a small country like the UK, we do have quite a lot of circuits.
Rockingham - 10 miles
Mallory Park - 30 miles
Donington - 40 miles
Silverstone - 50 miles
Snetterton - 100 miles
Cadwell - no idea but about 60 miles (maybe less)
Bedford - about 50 miles
Dunsfold - 100 miles
Brands - 200 miles
Croft - 200 miles
Santa Pod - nearby apparently :S (where is Santa Pod??!!)
Knockhill - probably a bit too far
