Phelps will definately retire after this olympics. He will win all the gold medals he can, he will get all the cash bonuses (millions of $), he will be in countless commercials (more $), and he won't need to swim anymore. He's 23 now, and by the time London comes around he'll be 27. I don't think he will be competitive at that age anymore. Anyone remember Ian Thorpe from Australia? He competed in 2 olympics then retired, and he's only 25.
