Hi guys,

I hope you can help me here

I want to overclock my cpu exept when i hit Delete key on reboot the bio screen does not appear all i get is 3 dots and a black screen.
In other words my bios screen wont appear

Im running ..
Windows Vista Ultimate
Intel Core core 2 duo e6600
Nvidia 7900gt
Gigabyte GA-965P-S3

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Try installing the latest bios drivers for the MOBO

The release notes state fixing overclocking issues in previous versions. This is the formal release of the driver.

Dan, if he can't get into the BIOS wtf is he meant to do?

You need to press EITHER "Delete", "F1" or "F2". It depends on the board. It should say "Press {key} To Enter Setup" (or BIOS) - hit that key.

F12 may work as well... Try all the function keys.

Don't try all the function keys - Simply look at what it says when it Boots...

Although if getting into the BIOS is a problem then make sure your "up" on overclocking.

EDIT - Google says "Delete" IS the key to enter the BIOS. Make sure you press Delete from the moment you turn it on and just keep hitting the key until you get into the BIOS.
