dont u guys find it at least just a bit odd that the tomato you are buying at the grocery is called a tomato when it's not a real tomato? and that the real tomato that has been called a tomato for years now needs to be called an organic tomato so you know that this one is the real real tomato??

dont u guys care what you eat? or maybe u never cared what u eat and u have some buttefly genes in your brain... <_<
I don't care at all, that's why I get greasy pizzas titled 'meat feast' from a takeaway I have never even seen every Sunday (oh boy that's today! ).

Also on tomatoes I am weird, I like everything tomato but fresh tomatoes themselves. For example I love ketchup, tomato purée etc, can't stand actual ones. See how relevant that was!
okay... why did u come on this topic if you do not care about your food? the topic is titled "Wondering what you really eat?"... so i'd assume that if you clicked on it, you were wondering what you really eat for a moment... that would mean you would care about it at least a bit...
Not really, clicked it because its a new thread, and I like to read random threads when bored, sometimes they amuse

If you want a proper answer from me: genetically modified foods have been out for years, and they've been using pesticides chemicals for much longer, I really don't see a problem with it...but I admit I did once think it was bad.

I know what I eat is unhealthy...at least what dieticians or skeleton-celebrities will tell you anyway, and to be honest you can't really tell what the hell they shove in some takeaways, but I haven't fallen ill; gained weight or grown testicles on my face so over time what I eat has become a choice of what I fancy and what would please me. So to the OP, do I wonder what I really eat? No.

I care about what I eat, but I don't care how they are named.

Quote from JJ72 :I care about what I eat, but I don't care how they are named.

well... what if you like tomatos, and you ask me "gimme a tomato" and i say "yes" (i am such a nice person sometimes ) and what i give you is an orange... and you tell me "wtf i asked a tomato not an orange!!?!" and i say "oh well that's the new tomato, we decided to call it a tomato, if you wanted a real tomato, you should've say a real real real tomato!"

doesnt that seem weird to you? well it is to me... and that's what we are doing atm... calling our new butterfly-tomato a "tomato", and calling the old real tomato an "organic tomato"...

Does it really matter what your food is called? "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" kinda thing? If I invented a new tomato, by filling it full of crap (whatever they shove into em, I neither know nor care), wouldn't the old one then be an organic tomato? It hasn't been modified, therefore it's organic Personally I always lol at the price of organic crap, they charge you more because they didn't spend money on fertilisers and pesticides? Like paying more for sugar free yoghurt. Why? Why are you charging me for not putting something in?
The probleme im trying to show you is the Language Reference we all use to learn, is Changing without notice.

Example I told my self im "Stupid"(Sure you love this one )... but what you don't know is now that word mean "Very Smart Persone". So how you know what im talking about if i change the global meaning reference we use to learn?

If we make a Orange Banane, my grocery store call it a "Orange Banana" so why he don't call the Tomato merged with a ButterFly a "Tomato Butterfly" that way we know what we talking about.

this is a very simple question and off course stupid, since the action needed to be able to ask this question is totaly non sence and stupid i agree

Most likely because whatever they put into it gives you some sort of life-threatening disease.

Exactly, I refuse to pay more to miss out on my life-threatening disease!
I just read a Lerts Post, so thx you!

Just hope i won't get ban to be heu? different.
I just found a example of what im trying to expose here with my Tomato

This example is in regard of a simple CD-Audio , who in 2005 passed very near to become a CD-Rootkit(MalWare) installation device, with keeping the name of CD-Audio.

Quote :
On November 15, 2005 vnunet.com announced[15] that Sony BMG was backing out of its copy-protection software, recalling unsold CDs from all stores, and offering consumers to exchange their CDs with versions lacking the software. The Electronic Frontier Foundation compiled a partial list of CDs with XCP. Sony BMG was quoted as maintaining that "there were no security risks associated with the anti-piracy technology", despite numerous virus and malware reports. On November 16, 2005, US-CERT, part of the United States Department of Homeland Security, issued an advisory on XCP DRM. They said that XCP uses rootkit technology to hide certain files from the computer user, and that this technique is a security threat to computer users. They also said one of the uninstallation options provided by Sony BMG introduces further vulnerabilities to a system. US-CERT advised, "Do not install software from sources that you do not expect to contain software, such as an audio CD".

US-CERT advised: "Do not install software from sources that you do not expect to contain software, such as an audio CD".

For me this is the most important thing into this message, did they not try to keep the same meaning of "audio CD" ?

That mean if im gonna do another use of the CD-Audio , i must change It name Before, so here we can understand how a name of a thing can be important to identify that thing.

So because the action of: US-CERT , the CD-Audio as you know it will still be the same!

Sony will have to found a new name for the CD-Audio with Rootkit Installation(XCP).

later we learn that sony did not continue this CD brand why?
because now they can't not make it hidden? -Yes, For sure this is the purpose of a rootkit.

Im just trying to expose my first idea with another story! it not always easy to put word on think we have! i do my best! and i can be 100% wrong for sure
I'm sorry but what is this thread about? it caught me off guard..
Quote from FukEduP :dont u guys care what you eat? or maybe u never cared what u eat and u have some buttefly genes in your brain... <_<

I obviously do "care" what I eat but if I thought that much about everything I eat I would have died from starvation.
"Jesus made wine out of water, the dutch make tomatos out of it"

And for the post about audio CDs, I don't understand a think...
The CD part is irrelevant. I've had a couple of discs ask to install stuff before they played. It's law that they warn you on the inlay that it contains software. It's also possible it'll have the "Enhanced CD" logo somewhere.

But in terms of food, how much choice do we actually have? If the only kind of food available is genetically modified (and baked beans have been using gen-mod ingredients for years and years before the big outcry - modified starch, anyone?), E-number leaking, pesticide-dripping, preservative-laden stuff, your only other choice is starvation.

I believe that most of the things people worry about are pointless anyway. We've eaten them for years, and just because one or two people out of the millions who ingest it every day got ill, doesn't mean it's actually dangerous. It's a lot of fuss over nothing.

Phenylalanine, for example. In order for it to be toxic, you need to drink like 6 litres of sugar-free fizzy pop every day for about 60 years. You reckon that's worth worrying about?

But by saying that you kind of acknowledge that you realise McDonalds and Burger King are not very good for you. So you really do care
