Never, ever taken a lesson in latin, or looked into it myself. The 12 I got are the ones in common usage, and I just HATE using abbreviations and acronyms without knowing what the stand for. CV, c, i.e., N.B. AM, PM, AD etc are all everyday terms in English, and shame on anyone who doesn't know what they mean (and speaks English reasonably well).

I took German in high school instead of Latin.

I knew 11 or 12 of them.

I did a year of Latin at high school when I was 13 or 14, but we didn't learn any of that stuff. It's a useful language in terms of researching other European languages, but it doesn't have that many practical uses compared to languages that are still spoken

Well, I've never taken any Latin lessons, but my ex-English teacher was fluent in Latin. Literature lessons gave him the perfect excuse to go a bit more in-depth. Hutton <3

It really annoys me how people always write "ect" instead of "etc.". It just makes them look like a total fool :P

Not sure what most of them are in latin when expanded, but I know pretty much all of their meanings.

Makes it ten. not too shabby regarding that I haven't needed my latin for 8 years and that unlike the english, we german speaking dudes rarely use them in our every day language. I was tempted to cheat though ^^

Only had a quick looks down this list, 5 or 6 come to mind easily, I know what they mean, if not the exact spelling

Latin is banned now in England anyway

Managed 9, did 2 years of Latin in years 7 and 8, so about 4 /5 years ago. Only other stuff I can remember from that is "Caecilius est in horto"

I only gave up latin last year, do French now instead
