Microsoft Word Equation Editor Help
i'm new to working with mocrosoft word equation editor and i can't figure out how to make an exponent. i'm putting some numbers in with scientific notation and when i try x10^3 or whatever i want to represent i can't get a superscripted exponent. and i can't even chose superscript as an option.

can someone help me out? maybe post a screen shot if possible so i know which menu option to go to.

thanks,

Check the attachment pics. Go into the menu I pointed at, click the button I pointed at, and then you'll see the cursor placed into the "exponent" position. Once you type your exponent, press the right arrow key to exit superscript.

where do I get such a thing?
Microsoft Word - What the hell is that? I use openoffice.org!
#7 - ORION
notepad powa )
Open Office is really nice for formula stuff. You don't have to click any symbols, just write 10^3 and you will get 10³.

texpoint or equation magic should do the job (or write the whole thing in tex)
To have an easy start with LaTeX, you could use LyX (if you want to write the whole thing with TeX)
