BMW Sauber Spin Out Rev Match Issue
I have been searching the forums with no luck. With automatic and traction control on, the BMW Sauber F1 car tends to not rev match accurately and it causes me to spin out. It happens more often during braking, but it even happens during acceleration. It happens as a sudden spin out.

This issue is so frustrating since it happens randomnly. I cannot figure out how to prevent it. I thought the auto clutch would heel-and-toe automatically.

Are you saying you're using automatic gears?

There used to be an option for automatic throttle blip and cut for all cars. Now only some cars have ignition cut. There is no auto blip anymore.

Maybe try learning to drive other cars before jumping into the fastest car in the game?
he's been playing for a year.

He's only driven 1364 miles according to LFS World. Join date does not mean experience. Forbin is right though...you can't jump into the quickest car in the game straight away and expect to master it. At least try the FBM/FOX before trying the BF1.
Meh i learnt to drive with the BF1 with keys and AG (had some WR's too), its eashey
Try adjusting the engine braking settings, the BF1 is quite hard to drive.

Just remember, be smooth and stuff.
Thanks everyone.

I have been playing for a while with the numerous cars, but I turned into more of a drifter after I got the hang of it. I even tried it out in real life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vCwx_YpGuQ&fmt=18

The reason I am using automatic is because I am practicing for a competition and they have the BMW Sauber F1 car in automatic. My best time so far on Blackwood normal is 1:02:86. I see that people have gone faster than that. I am using the Race_S setup. The competition using a setup similar to this. They do not allow people to adjust the setup so I have to learn to be faster on this setup.

I checked my pedals and they are calibrated fine. I set the Display settings to show the pedals. I see that throttle is auto-blipped for the driver while up shifting and down shifting. The throttle is slightly depressed while braking too. That is why I do not understand why the car is so unstable during braking and turning at the same time.
setup, maybe 1:02 is really slow, get my set from setupgrid

I am using the Race_S setup. The competition using a setup similar to this. They do not allow people to adjust the setup so I have to learn to be faster on this setup. They only allow 2 laps with no warming up of the tires, unless you take advantage of the first lap.
lol dude just don't make it obvious, get some dori action going, Race_s is a dog of a set, so i wouldn't worry.
when you use autogears you have to put enginebrake to 0, but try to shift yourself because its alot easier.

i also had this problem when i used autogears but now i shift by myself the BF1 is much more fun to drive.

I am confused. Make what obvious? What is dori action? Is a a set being a dog a good or bad thing?
I mean, do some drfting, full lock into corners, don't make it obvious by weaving on track and a set being a dog is a bad thing, all default sets are.

I must also ask: make what obvious?

Are you suggesting that he should use a tweaked setup and just pretend to be using Race_S? Where's the fun in that?
Just had a try driving BF1 with automatic transmission and Race_S setup and it's an absolute joke...almost undriveable. It's a half decent drift setup though

I don't understand why a league/organised event would force drivers to use this.

No, listen! I meant about the situation about warming the tyres, don't weave making it obvious your warming them up, just do a bit of sliding and full lock action.

I'm pretty sure there is an obligation to send the setup to the "marshals" (or whatever) right after finishing the race, without allowing the drivers to pit...
At least if I was organising such a competition, that's what I would do, and I think that is the only way to ensure everyone uses the same set.

Yeah, they do not know what the hell they are doing. I asked all these questions about the setup he kept telling me it was the default. What good is that?!

This "tournament" is making the game look so bad to new players due to the setup. The practice pit had a different setup so when players tried to go to the competition, it would screw them up. Different employees told me different answers for the same thing.

This was at the Video Game Expo (VGXPO) in Philadelphia, PA by the way. I got 2nd place on Sunday. I screwed up royally. I could not hear the engine or tires at all. I got a 1:01:72 while practicing at home and a 1:09:28 at the event. The winner had 1:07:?? time. I gave the guy tips on how to prevent the engine braking from ruining a nice lap and he beats me. No thanks, nothing. They let kids dick around so it prevented me from playing more than once on Sunday even after I was told I would be allowed to play one more time. I am so pissed. Intel organized the event.

The prize was an Intel Core2 Duo Extreme 3.2 GHz Quad Core CPU.

it's always gonna be hard, especially if they don't let you setup the controllers the way you like (deg rotation etc) but auto? what the hell? why? :P don't tell me that they had u driving with a keyboard and mouse too?
