Chavvy Chop Shop
Read the OP:s post from above:

His writing is maybe a bit sloppy but you'll probably get the point.

On Chop Shop's series two, the guys who a side part in the series, build a very nice mk2 Golf with engine & transmission & etc. from WRX STi Subaru, sleeky sleeperish look, but then Leepu decides to ruin it with his "designs".
This is one of the reasons why OP, also know as Lee in Chop Shop, started that thread.
He wants our help to get the message for Discovery, that we want a show whit proper car builders, and definitely WITHOUT Leepu ruining every car.

This can be a bit hopeless, but of course we can try, maybe we'll get some proper car building show on TV.

Pictures? The only show I remember on Discovery that had a bad designer was the one with that indian bloke, is it the same one?
Yep
Oh well he is a talentless arsewipe and I hated him since the first moment I saw him on TV. He acts like his amazing creative mind is coming up with the next masterpiece of a car which will land him a job at Ferrari, but all his cars look awful. I feel sorry for the people that have to make his ideas a reality, they shouls stay as they are, an abomination thought up by a person that makes lerts look sane.
Yeah, that's the point, we have to get rid of the Leepu bloke and get the proper car builders on charge.

oh please, i think it's good fun for a change. I like the show because it's really low fi and stuff. I mean that's the point!

if you want high end building there's overhaulin etc etc.

I also like to watch the show, but still I can't believe that someone would actually really like from those cars that Leepu "designs", their like über rice or something, plus the fact that they are probably even as dangerous as horrible looking with those massive spacers and chopped springs...

And TBH I haven't even heard of overhaulin...

It's on Discovery Turbo.
I like chop shop.

Hadn't had the chance to watch the episode yet, but I think they did a nice job on making the car different, and that's what the show is about, making a car look different. (and making the engine work)
I guess those sidekicks have not gotten the idea of the show, it's to make one off cars, it's not a mechanic shop, autoshop, but a chop shop like Leepu has said.

That or yet another near bone stock Golf looking car, that the world is full of? I'll take the Volcano. If you want proper sleepers and restorations go watch Overhaulin' or the late Boyd Coddington's show or dozens others.

If only Bernie had more say in the cars so they'd be more dailydrivers than rolling chassies with engines/undrivable show cars.

which is mostly about cramming a 6 liter stroked, bored and charged hemi lump of iron, churning out 200 chp at best, into an old GM POS. Only to make it look better with chrome trim, and lots of it

that gets old fast
i know the guy whos just bought chop shops new garage .

if that were to any interest of anyone .
When Chop Shop first appeared, I thought "WOW!, Bhangra Bangers was a cracking bit of telly, gotta watch Leepu in London!", then he started putting really stupid, massively unsafe wheel spacers on the car.

And then it happened the next week, and the next, and the next.....

Also, I'm not really a fan of the whole putting really thin sheet metal (Honestly, a strong fart looks like it'd dent it) over the top of shell that looks like it's been attacked by a blind man with a plasma cutter.

I'm all for giving the show to the other boys. Anyone remember that Max Power-esque show with that fathead Mike Wassischops (Y'know, the annoying one from Wheeler Dealers) on it, where "he" modifed a Rover 25? Something like that, but more in-depth, less chavvy and showing a lot of spanner time would be superb TV.

Ever since I saw Overhaulin' I've wanted to see a UK show of our Euroboxes getting the royal treatment. Sure, Foose is a genius, but I'm sick and tired of seeing 20ft long wodges of steel get lovingly fixed up. I want to see an old rusty mk2 Fiesta get sorted out, Overhaulin' style.

Only without all the BOOHOO I LUV MAI HUSBAND FOOZE PLZ OVERHUAL HIZ CAR!!111 nonsense.

He putted them on the first car too. Bernie was all against the idea of massive wheel spacers and cutting springs, but it seems like Leepu has brain washed him or something.

You're exactly on the point, I think there's no proper euro-modding show on telly now and has never been.

If you think like this, please go to the Discovery forum and tell them, the "sidekick" guy Lee already said that on Discovery they actually seem to read what people post and even Leepu goes there to read peoples opinions.

BTW about the Overhaulin, I don't pay extra for getting more channels to my TV, so I can't see channels like Discovery etc. Chop Shop's first series was just showed in free Finnish Channel "JIM".
I would welcome a proper euro tuning show, if we wanted ugly over the top cars we would watch Pimp My Ride. The whole thing doesn't fit in with the UK either, I would be more likely to spit on a flashy over the top car than admire it.

Oh yes. Tasty!

Would much rather a TV show of a bunch of fellas doing that, then seeing an automatic cow milking machine being fitted into the back of a purple-with-flames-down-the-side Datsun Sunny while being "YO YO YO"'d at by the 50 year old son of the 36th Anglican Bishop of Peterborough.
