I can see that the car in LFS that i should compare to the real life 350z is the Turbo version of the sportscar in the demo.
Today on my way home from work I pay attention to how I drive and brake and my cornering speeds. I will then try to drive like that in LFS and see if the behaviour is more like I would expect it.
I will post my test results when I have them - probably tomorrow.
I really hope that LFS is very realistic, because then I can get a good simulation of the Caterham 7 I plan on getting in a few years.
Yesterday I downloaded the game and used it in demo mode.
I expected the sound to be a bit bland from previous test of the demo in older versions. But what I did not expect was the tyre model.
What i wrong with it?
How come the 3 accesible cars in the demo slide/drift around like they were driving on ice? Is it the tyre model? or is the road that is wrong. It felt like I was driving on very very worn tyres that should be illegal both on road and track.
Will this be fixed in the coming patches or is it how you guys like to drive?
I drive a Nissan 350z as my daily car and I do not slide around like that - even when braking and turning slightly at the same time.
If you want to see a good simulation of a car - try out netKar Pro.
I just downloaded the full version of LFS_ALPHA_U from the official download page. I started from mirror #1 but got a corrupt file, mirror # 2 and 3 the same. Only from mirror # 4 did I get a file that winzip could unpack. I don't know it the problem was on my side but maybe it should be looked into as it is a bit annoying to download 130 mb 4 times in order to try this game.
