just finished up a new skin, used the classic Brumos racing livery as an inspiration since I always liked the simplicity of that livery.

the graphics are a bit fuzzy, and stretched out. maybe try to find some higher resolution logos and what not. that would look better IMO.

there was a guy like that on the SS1 server the other night, not quite that bad, but atrocious driving. he had reports filed on him, so, hopefully it got taken care of.

why the increase in clowns lately?

i see people weaving all over on SS1, especially on the longer straights and it drives me round the bend. I know this is to break the draft, but it also creates a certain level of uncertainty in the car behind, is he gonna swerve back now, or now, maybe now, oh crap, he zigged when I thought he was gonna zag.

I nearly reported a guy for it on KYGP the other day, I was trying to get by him for a couple laps, and the lines through the corners would not allow it, and his driving on the banked sections was all over the place. looking back, I should have reported him.

very cool, I had no idea. no way I am gonna remember that while racing, but god to know, for when I crash, and need to limp back to the pits.

we have indicators in LFS? HTF did I miss that. someone please explain.

I guess reporting people being offensive would be a good idea. But I am still such a n00b on the CTRA system, and did not want my first actions to be:
1: finish last of 24 cars
2: filing reports about racers acting like clowns

but now I think I would be more keen to do so. still a n00b, and still not all that good, but I now have a better handle on the rules and etiquette expected on the CTRA servers. but I have to admit, I have gotten a little testy at a couple of other racers for poor racecraft that takes me out, and it is frustrating, so I understand that there is some level of frustration that we all have to deal with.

the little corner at the pod and fuselage is a little awkward.

how do you make those outlines, do you create the basic shape and then give it a stroke?

that is awesome, I love it.

i do have a bind, for "sorry", but use that one for little bumps and racing incidents. when two cars are going at it 100%, trying to fight for position, a little bump here and there can be expected. but I I were to cause a pile up, or crash out another car, then I would type in that I am sorry, and direct it to the person I affected.

I have been taken out a few times, and not gotten any apology from other drivers. only once or twice have I felt like making a report, but, didn't. I figured, they crashed, and are now out of the race too, that is penance enough, no need to make it a lot worse. it could have been an accident.

I have not been on the race 1 server in a while, but last time I was, I noticed a lot of drivers really being obnoxious, rude, and then calling other racers names, and just in general ruining the race. one reason I have not been back to that server. I like SS1 much better, most there seem to be polite.

yeah, right, I did the lift under yellow for a big crash, and 3 people went blowing by me like I was not there, which under any sanctioned race condition would get you a big fat black flag. it would be nice to know that under yellow, people will use more caution.

i use autoclutch, my new MOMO wheel is only two pedals, and I can't justify buying a new wheel just to play with a clutch. I can't see doing heel 'n toe manuevers on pedals anyway, I can't get them to sit still as it is, much less during heel n toe.

And I have nothing to prove in that regard, I can heel n toe my real car, on a real track, with ease, and don't care to while racing LFS. I suck bad enough as it is. no need to make it worse.

not to sound like a jerk, but why would I lie about it? yes, I suck at LFS most of the time, i have nerves like wet noodles, and the attention span of a fly, but I still have fun, and was excited about my two wins last night.

I looked through the first couple pages of this section, to see if there was a similar thread, but could not find one.

What do you do, or who do you contact, if your stats are not correct, meaning, your race wins or other race stats? Last night, I actually won my 1st and 2nd race on the CTRA system, but only one shows up on my stats page.

Is there a way to look at your stats in a more detailed listing, to see which win is showing up?

I enjoyed winning my two races, and just wanted to see them show up on my stats. That's all. And I am not sure who to contact, any help would be great, TIA.

yep, it sure is there. very cool. I can't imagine skinning a car without it, or the Master Skinnerz kits. looks like I have some work to do! other than learning to drive that twitchy car.

where did you get your template for the FBM, or are you just using the default one and adding your colors on top. if you had a kit, like the Master Skinnerz kits, with the wireframe, lining things up is a lot easier. but I don't think they have one out for the FBM yet. Check that, they do, I just found it. I know what I will be doing today. but it does not have the wireframe.

yeah, master skinnerz kits are the best, and allow for very nice, very clean skins. especially when using photoshop.
