Took me some time to get to mid 1.33 ... Just jump on board (view using tab) guys that do 1.33 -1.32 watch there braking points and apexes. Of course ask them to send there setup (ask nicely) some teams dont gave out setups though. Google team inferno they have a setup page for most tracks and cars ... good starting point.
Hi Racers has anyone had a similar problem as below when upgrading:
I upgraded to V version (6mb file) from U following instructiions clearly overwriting existing files. But when I went to run LFS.exe asked me to unlock for full version, tried with my game password an error message said password must have min 8 charaters tried several times with my seven character game account password. Logged onto LFS website changed game account to a 9 character password. After several attempts of trying to unlock LFS, error displays does not match account game password.
Saved my data folder and uninstalled LFS reinstalled from scratch version V 112mb (Not the upgrade 6mb) the same error message game password doesnot match displays
Is there a time delay from when I update my gaming account password, or am I doing sometime wrong. Location is Australia Ive notice on the forum different world regions are having similar problems ... unable to find servers once they have upgraded .... and like some like me demoted to demo version.
Im currently looking at the FAQ on LFS website.
Thank god I backed up the whole LFS folder and it still works S2 full version but stuck on version U. (I know we are allowed two working versions per month for say reformatting HDD or changing computer systems)
A sad day for motor racing in Australia and New Zealand ... Peter Brock killed in a racing accident 20 km notrh of Perth WA. Hit a tree in John Forrest Reserve doing racing in the WA Targa. Bathurst was his playground ... some awesome drives mate.
aoun,
Im having same issue as well, I notice it happens at the begining of each race so I tend to Pit wait until everyone starts and join later, but it takes everything away from the racing experience and Im on 1.5mb Asdl connection. Even get lag on some of the Aussie servers.
Cheers racers I was running Version P there arent many demos there but now i understand where all the servers went to version U, Still glad got S2 license thou IT ROCKS !!!
First off thank you developers for a great racing sim, Im newly Licensed S2 but been racing in the demo version for 2yrs and noticed the servers in demo have dropped in numbers ( The reason Ive got a license, though I should have gotten one 2yrs ago the cars and tracks but mainly everyone drives fairly no crashers). In order to spread the LFS experience perhaps the LFS developers should run a dedicated server in demo to enable new racers to sample the LFS experience get them hooked and buy a license thus creating more revenue.
Speaking of revenue the signs in the game why dont you guys appoach Coke, Pepsi Macdonalds etc you get the drift ... and get them pay you for advertising. Doom 3 and Half Life 2 have done it... anyway just a sugguestion.
Well Ive finally got the full version and i must say it certianlly lives up to the screen shots and the videos Ive viewed on the LFS Website. I havent played online yet as Im familimarising myself with the awesomely powered cars and downloading new setups to be able to keep up with the veterans. I must say there are going to be some sleepless nights for the next month of so. Good luck to us S2 LFS Noobs
