Yep, KY is an awesome track, one of my favourites, so it's a shame I'm missing it.

Timo Hofer will drive for MF1 at the OWRL F1 race on the 7th, he's an experienced driver and he contacted me a couple of days ago.

H.Robertson, I hope you go ahead and race in the Div B race this weekend, it's a good place to get some race experience. Thanks for your interest in the F1 drive too, maybe next time.

Hi,

MF1 race in the OWRL F1 series, and due to me missing the next 2 rounds due to a stag night and then a wedding, we need a stand in for our #27 car to race alongside Matt Maslen. It is a great league with full distance races and 20+ car grids. We aren't an established team or anything, so maybe if you already race with a team, you'll be allowed to join us and help us out and have a really enjoyable experience. You need to have some experience in the BF1 and be a good, fair and clean racer with some league experience, and be within 2 secs of the WR ideally. We are noramally the backmarker team, so there is no pressure

The races would be Saturday 24th Oct, at Aston GT Rev, and Saturday 7th Nov at Kyoto GP, go to www.owrl.de for more race info. In return we will give you a cool skin to race in and any setup help that you may need.

PM me if interested.

Ian

It was good to be back, and to see many of the 'old faces'. I really enjoyed the race, especially after such a thrilling grand prix! I only managed 2 quali runs, and ended up just behind Matt. I knew from practice that i would be racing Nick and Matt, as we were doing very similar times. I got away from the grid ok, and was aiming to be cautious and not 'do a DC'. I was however caught up in that first corner incident, but manged to catch the pack up within a couple of laps. For ages I was 11 secs behind Nick, and couldn't get any closer, Matt was fluctuating a bit, and at one point I caught him, and slipstreamed him down the straight, I was a little out of shape under braking though, and he re-passed me with a cheeky grin as he went by. I stayed with him, and managed to pass him when he made a mistake later. I managed to get passed Nick, but only as he made a mistake, and I was running quite well, lapping consistently and keeping a good gap to the cars behind. My car felt great and all was well. I made my stop and left the pits just behind GF, but ahead of the cars I was racing, so I was happy. But my Fox wasn't handling as well as before my stop, and I was lapping in the high 37's. My left foot was killing me and my hands and wrists were hurting (a suprise as I've been on lfs quite a bit, but shorter races). towards the end there was an epic mf1 battle, Matt got past me, but he made a mistake and I was back, but Nick was also catching and I was in pain. On the last lap, I stupidly lifted to let James lap me, and then I had a mirror full of my brother, I fended him off, thinking he wouldn't risk too much, but he was alongside and was much quicker at this stage of the race, I thought 'what the hell, I'll fight til the end, there's no championship at stake' and got alongside Matt before losing it at the final turn, Nick must've had a great view of that, all fun though. It was good to see all 3 Mf1s finish, so a big well done to Ra3 in his first race for getting to the end and a big thanks to Nick and Matt for a race long battle.
Also, massive thanks to GF and Alain for sorting this great event out, it was a shame to see you retire. Has anyone got the replay?

I'm really looking forward to this now, should get some prac in very late tonight and most of tomorrow. I've made a special skin for this race too, so I look forward to seeing it in motion, hopefully there will be 3 MF1's in the race.

I did a few hours practice on the Vmax Server last night, there was a few of us on track, and it was good to get some proper running in. I still need to find a couple of seconds, but my set is kind of coming along, but it's still a bit of a handful in areas. I was a bit annoyed at the end of the night as Matt went a couple of tenths quicker, so the old MF1 grudge match is alive and kicking lol.

I did some practice earlier this week, just learning the track. The first corner is a challenge to get right, but really satisfying when you nail it. My times steadily improved, but I will get down to some proper setup work this coming week in a hope that I'll be competitve. You do need a very different setup to the normal Westhill, and this reverse layout really should make for a good close race.

I believe we had a GFC race after last years Brazilian GP and the timing was fine. (vaguely remember sitting on the floor with my moniter and g25 set up on a coffee table, extremely uncomfortable, I had no furniture as I'd recently moved) So we'll have a new F1 champ as we line up on the grid, although I suggest a ban on talking about the race on the server just incase someone hasn't seen the race. I've reorganised my half term week to get back home a day earlier than planned to get a full day of last minute practice in, I'll be driving around Westhill this weekend no doubt.

Round 2 of Season 2 of the GFC is this Sunday at KY GP Long Rev., our gentlefoot.com#1 server will be full of action over the next few days if anyone wants to sample some gfc racing.

If you are looking for a league that is both competitive and has great sense of community, I urge you to join us at the GFC. I am one of the slower guys but it really doesn't matter as the battle at the back is just as feirce as the fight at the front. The races are a good length with pit strategy coming in to play and this league really does improve your driving and overall racecraft. Join the GFC and you will fall in love with live for speed all over again.

That was a good night of racing, a shame I was the only fox. It felt great to finish, after about 45 laps my hands and feet were hurting, and I realised my seat wasn't the most comfortable to race in!

This sounds like a great idea, whether it is a mixed grid or not. I would love to take part in a series like this in either a Fox of an F08.

Sounds good to me, whatever track we end up doing. Put me down in the Fox and I'll get my 50 laps done. Hopefully I'll last longer than 13 laps this time. You say this will be the last race, will there be another season?

Quote from Cawwa :We have said: as long as you have done 50 laps on the combo we are running you can run.

Looking at your stats it looks as you want to run in the FOX class. Try some longer runs in our server to get your 50 laps. There is spots left for you in that class.

Ok, I've started my 50 laps now in the fox, so count me in if that's cool with you.
