The sequential shifter mode needs work. I personally have trouble with it not responding or glitching sometimes. Maybe a lemon but who knows....

Wished the shifter had a little more realistic feel, a more firm feel instead of this loose, cheap feeling... and god i can't stand the clicking noise. Needs more buttons. :/

Doesn't the actlabs h shifter have a hint of a reaslitic feel? Does the actlabs have a sequential mode?

You mean the sequential on the h shifter? If thats what you mean: my sequential doesn't work.

But why can't they just leave the option of using the h shifter? Its cool they are trying to make super realistic sequential but keeping the h shifter option in wouldn't mess up anything. You could either go sequential or shifter...no prob.

I actually get better times with the FOX using the h shifter than with the paddles. I usually place in the top 3 on redline racing. And the shifting isn't faster compared to most of the road cars, its not difficult AT ALL to shift the FOX's gears with the H shifter. I would defeintally get why the BF1 would use paddles, it redlines very quick so you must shift quick, i won't argue with that. But i will argue about the FOX, it needs the h shifter option. It reminds me of the old school F1s with the h shifters, that are long gone. Anyway if someone using an Hshifter wasn't as fast as someone using paddle shifters thats there problem. I can beat many people even though i use the h shifter.

But why? Whats the big deal? Its not like you are forced to use the h shifter... it was just an OPTION! You guys act like it was torture having a the shifter be a gear selection option, which to me sounds ridiculous. What if Scawen made the Single seaters only shifter (which he would never do) but you guys would be infuriated too. I sometimes think of the FOX as the old school formula 1's like the RA272 which all used gated shifters, i don't know it was just great fun for me. Anyway i don't get why the FOX should have paddle shifter in real life? Its not very fast and doesn't need continual gear shifting (as much as the BF1). What happened to the good ole H shifters for formula 1?? Paddles just take the fun out of driving, IMO.

I just don't get the big deal for changing that option.... Noone complained about having shifter in the options for the single seaters before hand. If you want to be realistic use sequential, if not use whatever else. I just don't think anyone would get angry if someone was not being realistic by using the shifter on the FOX none the less tell if they were. Oh well, i guess im just gonna have to convince the creators not you guys....

Since the Patch V i can't use my G25 H shifter for the FOX. I really had a lot of fun using the H-shifter with the FOX and got great lap times. I hate being forced using the paddles, even though it is more realistic. The H shifter helps me choose the gear i want faster going around the curve than with the paddles. All i want is the option to choose shifter instead of sequential at least for the FOX and maybe the rest of the single seaters, but mainly the FOX. So please bring that option back it will make me alot happier and best i won't complain anymore. And hopefully there are more people that agree with me about this. Thanks

What if you don't have paddles? You wouldn't beable to drive the single seaters.

Also if this "feature" is striving to be realistic why did they make the 2 seater cars able to do automatic, h shifter, and sequential??? Then with the one seaters you don't even have a choice.... If they are striving for realism why don't they also make the 2 seaters only have the shifter as the way to switch gears?
The main point im trying to get across is if you want to be totally realistic just keep using sequential shift for the single seater cars and for the people (like me) that care more about how fun it is than the realism just make it so you can choose what type of gear switching you want. I don't get why you guys are arguing with me, if it went back to the way it was (before patch V) it wouldn't hurt you guys at all, you would still beable to use sequential and i would beable to use my shifter and we would both be happy. I just really miss my shifter!! And kinda is a waste of money, because i could have just gotten the cheaper DFP.

I really could care less if using the h shifter is reaslitic or not for that car. I had a ton of fun using the FOX with the h shifter, isn't that the point of a video game, to have fun?? Im sorry you guys don't agree but i think i should be able to choose what type of gear switching the car uses... whether its realistic or not.

Thats pretty ridiculous.... How hard could it have been to leave it the way it was. YOu could chose what type of gear selection you wanted instead of using what they make you use. I really think they should fix it where you can atleast switch which gear selection you want for any car. You can't even use automatic transmission for the single seat cars, i don't care about that but it would be a problem for the noobs.
Oh and by the way the FOX isn't the ONLY car i drive, i just use it more than any other car.

Nope still doesn't work on any single seaters. It works on the normal cars (XRT, FXO, FZ5) but not the car i want it to work on...the FXO!!!
A feature!?! wow! Didn't they think people used the shifter for the FOX? It's a 6 speed! They need to undo that feature.

I can't use my g25 h shifter for any of the formula cars or single seater cars. Even when i put the setting to shifter and manual clutch. I used to use the h shifter for the FOX all the time before the freaking patch. Now i can't and i will have just wasted money on the g25 if i can't use it on the FOX (which is the only car i drive) . Is there a way to fix this? I really want this fixed! I don't like shifting with the sequential for the FOX. I am pretty pissed!:banghead: This NEEDS to be fixed or im gonna BLOW! :hbomb:

Is there any after market shift knobs for the shifter. If not i am going to custom make my shifter a little bit longer and a smaller shift knob. They should have made the shifter compatible with real after market shift knobs. That would have been a nice feature incase you didnt like the shift knob it comes with, which i dont..... I might get an Actlabs shifter once i get christmas money. THey look 10 X better than the g25 one.

Oh and if you made your own custom shift knob for the g25 shifter, post the pictures up, i would like to see them.

I got my stuff and installed every thing. I get like 30-40 fps in the begginning of a race at blackwood. And usually after that it never goes below 50. 150 is best fps i got. And on Sprint i get 100 fps all the. So i am pretty happy, im little dissapointed that i still get below 40fps, but it doesn't lag the game up. I play css also and i still wish my FPS would be higher cause i get like 40-70fps. Maybe i should have gotten a 2.4ghz processor..... Oh well good enough for me. The mobo is also a GREAT mobo! I love it even though it is a micro. And i reccomend newegg. Thanks again guys.

Not that i have tried it, it just looks smoking hot and the performance sounds 100x better than it looks. Just think of the power running in SLI w/ a AMD 2.8 GHz dual core processor! :nut: It would run FEAR at 1000fps while laughing.

But i probably would have gotten the case you have if i saw that before i ordered, i like the 140mm fan and the blue LEDs.
