no tsure if this is the right area but any ideas on this. Id like to make a handbrake as i have a g25 and the buttons are useless. I tried using the gearstick on sequential as handbrake and that is nice so i think making something like in the picture would be good.

What i want to know is would an analouge joystick be better than just a button on and off or would it make no difference? Also anyone know of a much better way of doing this?

the lever is pulled up, pushes down on some kind of ball for pressure like tennis ball, also pushes joystick forwards to trigger brake.

Hi, thanks for the responses. Am i right in thinking that i can use the h-shift for one car and the sequential for another without re-assigning the gear up and down each time i change car as the up and down is in sequential is the same thing as first and second in the h-shift.

Right that is what i have been doing. I prefer the hot lap as if you are changing settings its good not to have to wait for the lights and for the first lap time to have some meaning. Guess its not a big deal but what is the point of removing the ability to reset the car??

Hi since the new Y-patch i cant reset the car in hot lapping. I cant find the setting ot change this. Its very annoying for practicing drifting where i crash the whole time.

Hi,

Previously it was set so that the open racing cars used the paddles and all the other cars used the h-shift gears.

Now with the y-patch the gtr cars also use the paddles. I do not like this.

So i am wondering is it possible to set it so that the racing cars use the paddles, the gtr cars use the sequential shift and the other cars use the h-shift.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you dont want to read posts about drifting have you ever considered not reading posts that have drifting, if you read a post(like this one) that mentions drifting instead of telling people you dont like what they are doing you could ignore them. Being able to ignore people you think are morons is a good skill to develop, some people might call it tollerance. Or you could try and just have anyone who mentions drifting banned or why not killed.



CSU1 im from wicklow though i live in dublin. Id like to get a racing lan game going soon with a few mates if your interested, smallish maybe 4 to 8. Not sure what we would be playing though, wont be any drifting. Im just wating on a couple people to get wheels.

yea not really being serious, more just sick of reading posts about drifting and everytime people go on and on about it being a race sim. Im suprised there was not already a post with someone going mental like i just raped there family.

I did buy the game for drifting, having fun racing in it though. I have not seen any pc game called drift something, a few on the ps2 though. I want to get a track car in the hopefully near future and start racing it, i think this game is definatly a good thing for improving race and possibly even drift skills.

I have noticed a lot of people say when someone suggests there is more for drifting in the game that it is a race sim and not a drift sim. Maybe the developers should change it into a drift sim. Have only cars like nissan 180sx's, Skyline's andtracks designed specifically for drifting.

Would be fairly popular as there is no actual drift game on the pc that i can find. Could call it live for lack of grip
