Quote from chavm481 :lol... rfactorcentral... the mods are usually made by noobs who can make a proper mod, a mod killed my folder and everything had to go...

Learn how to install mods and you should be set

Both LFS and rFactor are both great fun, nothing wrong with having and enjoying both, plus GT5 Prologue, NetKar and whatever other game... err simulation.. takes your fancy.

Thanks mate! excellent!

Plugging the logitech pedals back in works a treat re being able to assign shift up/down to the paddles, and doesn't seem to interfere with the other pedals in use.

I messed around with the Profiler the other day but couldn't crack it, will have another go later on - for now I'm off to unlock LFS.

Thanks again.

I don't use the Logitech pedals but a 3 pedal Advantage1 set that connect to the PC separately - so the Logitech pedals aren't connected to the wheel.

Maybe for LFS I need to connect the pedals to set the paddles for shifting. I'll try that out. With rFactor for example that hasn't been necessary. I wonder if once it's set I can disconnect the pedals. Soon see!

Thanks!

I have an old Logitech Driving Force (not Pro) wheel, and can't seem to be able to assign Shift Up and Down to the paddles, only the buttons the wheels. The paddles only seem to be available as sliders on the axes tab.

In other sim race games I play assigning the paddles to gear shift has been no prob, all over in a few seconds. I'm sure it's the same here but I'm missing something obvious - I'm a newbie to LFS. I intend to unlock the game, but would like to get the controller sorted first.

Here's two pics to show what I mean:
