It looks like I am good to go. My PC has a 300w PS not a 250W

Alright I went out and bought a video card today. I bought a Geforce 7300 GT. I know its not the best, but I didn't want to spend more than $100 and it fit the bill at $99.

The only concern that I have is that the system reqs on the box state that a 300W Power supply is needed. If I am not mistaked, my pc only has a 250w power supply. I will know for sure tonight when I get home.

Will I have issues running this card with a 250w power supply?

I think I answered my own question. The frame rate while playing the game is what I was looking for. The number on the top left of the screen.

I am having issues playing online. I am getting 45-60 fps offline, but drop down to 15-20 when numerous cars are on track. Especially T1. It gets very jumpy and unbearable.

My PC is pretty much new (AMD athlon dual core 4600+, 2 gig ram, on board geforce 6150). Would a video card solve my issues?

This is a good thread as I have been contemplating a Video card upgrade also.

I have a noob question for you...How do you determine what your actual frame rate is?

I guess my main dilemma is that I will probably be happy with the DFP, but for how long?

I don't really want to spend all that money on the G25, but then again, I don't want to buy the DFP now and then still want the G25.

Decisions....Decisions
Driving Force Pro or G25

My Logitech Momo wheel is giving up on me. I have fixed the pedals more times than I care to discuss. I think its time for me to spend the money and buy a new wheel.

Do I take the economic path and buy the DFP or splurge and buy a G25?

What would you do and why?

what i use now can do 1.07.6x with it just need LOTS of practice

GOOD LUCK

I downloaded this set up and compared to the one that I am currently using. The one I set up is very similar. The only really huge difference is that you have less camber on the right side of the car. Why is that?

I understand that BL has many more rights than lefts, of the 3 lefts 2 of them are critical turns that lead on to straights. From real life personal experience I like to have a ballance car. I want the same amount of grip irreguardless of the direction I am turning.

I have tried your set up and mine, and tend to run about the same times, but I am nowhere near as consistant nor fast as I need to be. In fact, my inconsistancy would deem my testing invalid. I need to send my set up someone faster and much more consistant than myself to determine if the camber adjustments make any difference.
