Just to clarify, I've participated in most of the V1 weekends, but due to work commitments over summer, which meant that I was never available for all the qual sessions, I never made it into the races themselves. So I'd dispute the fact that it was "unfair". Alas I haven't really had a chance to participate in V1 at all since the test, due to a combination of work, uni and a holiday to Sweden. But thankfully I've got weekends off work now, so hopefully will be able to race in the final 2 rounds Also I'll try and get a report on the test posted up on V1Racer ASAP

Quote from keiran :I have a mate from the good ol' karting days who races in this series, so after reading your post I caught up with him on MSN to see what had happened. Sounds like quite a nasty accident!

That'll be me then

Yeah, was a big un. A car spun mid-pack and another (the white car) slowed to a halt, n the field parted like the sea to Moses to miss him, but an unsighted car (Sasha Pearl, the TV presenter, in the red/silver/blue 08 in the pic) rammed him in the back at ~70mph (the only injury of the 3 drivers taken to hospital - she sustained 2 cracked ribs and a neck tendon injury), and spun him into the path of 2 cars, both of whom went airborn, with the #31 of Alex Knight rolling FOUR TIMES. I was running 7th but it happened from about 9th backwards so I didn't actually see any of it live, but saw the pics and ONBOARD FOOTAGE from Sasha and Alex's cars afterwards, all of which were pretty spectacular! Sadly none of them have been made public yet, apparantly in the name of good taste, though I know one of the guys taken to hospital is badgering the TV crew and photographer to publis the media of it. The race will be broadcast on the Scottish Motor Racing programme on MotorsTV at some point in the future, not sure if they'll show the crash or not, but tune in anyway

Hehe, only reason I'm putting off is to make sure I financially survive the festive period - that £24 may well prove to be crucial!

Cool to hear your experiences Yeah, I've never really found the ISI/Simbin games physics to have the addictiveness of the Papy sims or RBR, and from what I've experienced on the S2 demo, it's got that same x-factor!

Hi all

I'm an NR2003 racer trying to branch out into other more modern sims, and with a few of the guys in my league also into LFS, I thought I'd give it a whirl! I've had the S2 demo for a while, but after New Year I think I'll take the plunge and get myself a licence and see how things go
