how realistic is the handling at low speeds? I mean I'd rather speed around, driving dangerously in an urban setting with traffic and realistic physics, but if just regular cruising is the only thing i can do realistically I'd buy it.
I dunno what happened but I can't seem to be able to use the keystroke assignment thingies to remap wheel buttons for reserved keys anymore... last time it worked, it was before i started fiddling with PCSX2 emulator files and i also tried to calibrate steering and pedals in LFS. and now for some weird reason I can map the keys on the profiler but when I play LFS it doesn't do what it supposed to do.
I don't remember how it was back then in the controls menu in LFS,but now when I press on something on my wheel that has supposedly been remapped. it just highlights the actual wheel button on the controls menu, I don't remember if it did that when the keystroke reassignments worked properly. I tried reinstalling Logitech profiler but it didn't seem to do anything or maybe it was because I didn't close LTP first.... I haven't tried keystroke reassignments for other games though, but I don't really have anything else.
Also how do I run LTP in admin mode? I've been looking for the .exe everywhere but I could only find the shortcut and I can't seem to run that in admin mode.... EDIT ok nvm about admin mode i found a solution
people don't answer whne i ask them if they can see my car and when i crash into people, their cars react for like a second and then teleports back into a racing line and keeps on going where as my car bounces like crazy.
I just bought an expensive ethernet cable, I'm still getting spectated.....
I tried opening ports 29339 and 63392 on both (one at a time [lan and wireless that is, because i'd get duplicate ports otherwise])LAN and wireless (got static IPs for both), and still players can't see my car on the road, I get funny bouncy crashes and airio keeps spectating me... I contacted my ISP and they said the only port being blocked was like 110 or osmething like that and they don't do anything with UDP connections, although they are a reseller or Bell and maybe Bell is blocking stuff, but the guy i was talking to said they would know about it if they did.
It is just ridiculously frustrating, someone please help
Well I use wireless on my modem, many people suggest to use an ethernet cable instead but due to my current setup and lack of cord I can't right now. Is there something I can do with like portforwarding or something else that could solve the problem?
Also what precisely should I tell my customer service rep from my ISP. Is there anything more specifc I should mention to him aside from outgoing UDP packets being blocked?
I'm Giroux, I recently bought a DFGT from a pawnshop for quite a bargain and this is the first time I have truly been able to enjoy LFS at it's fullest (minus the lack of good servers). I used to read all about this game back on the Initial D Xtreme forums back when they were still up in the mid 2000s. I was young then and the computer I had was too slow to play LFS. One day i got a slightly better computer, but still no wheel. I was making the most out of it with the mouse but it was nothing compared to what I'm experiencing now.
Now that I finally have the ressources to get me a slightly better computer and a wheel, I check the server lists and god, I totally missed the boat. Servers are full of people who crash everywhere, drag racers, cruisers and drifters. I usually don't have any issues with cruisers and drifters, but it seems like there's barely anyone willing to drive somewhat seriously no matter te style...
I'm still pretty new to like how things run in here with the servers and all. Is there a secret club I can join to further my skills and experience. I'm still quite noob. I run Blackwood on an XRG in like 1.37.xxx... I've been thinking of getting S2, but the lack of S2 servers seriously discourage me from doing so.
