Sorry to bump an old thread but i figured it would be better than making another for the same problem.

The problem mentioned above miraculously disappeared for a year but has returned. Ive tried re-installing lfs and crossover to see if that solved the problem but neither has worked.

can anyone suggest anything else i can try?

When i join a multiplayer server i connect and as soon as i get to the spectate screen i can't do anything, neither the keyboard or mouse work so i cant join the race or exit the server. Ive tried commands such as shift-p and they don't work either. This problem only occurs when i try to race online, when in single player the game works fine.

Im currently running lfs on my Macbook pro using Crossover so this could be the source of the problem, but the game has worked fine for the last few months. I have tried re-instaling and i am using the lastest patch. Has anyone got any idea what could be causing this?

I've got the same problem, i've tried updating to z and everything worked fine until i logged in with my s2 account then it started to freeze again.

its a home network so theres 3 computers on the network, mine is the only one that is used a lot. i thought i might need a wire but just wanted to see what people thought. thank you for your help

hello

i have searched for similar problems using the search system but have been unlucky so i decided to post a thread.

Recently i have been having a problem with lagging in the majority of servers i have played on. what usually happens is the racer name doesn't change into a lag time but the player will seem to drive in a direction then the car will be somewhere else (the best way i can describe this it it teleports to a different location) sometimes the car will seem to crash into barriers fly up into the air and then in a split second it will be back where it was before the accident. This typically happens when a car is near me.
i do get the lag message above cars at times but the two don't happen at the same time.
i checked the ping of a server which i was getting the problem on and it is 40ms which seems normal.
i am on a wireless network so this might be the cause but the signal strength is "excellent". the connection speed is 54mbps.
i usually get good fps in servers so i don't think this is the problem

im not the best with computers so any help will be greatly appreciated.

i cant play any of these older versions due to running vista i guess.
can anyone direct me to (or post) pictures of some of the older cars

why are people arguing about drifting vs racing here?

I've never seen a drifter go into a racing thread and start whining so why don't you do the same you seem to be the ones who are childish this time, cant you leave him to it?
