heres to 10+ years of sims with devs who will support their community.
LFS has the physics, no doubt about that but it has nothing else.....

LFS will be the same thing in 10 years just with a couple of new "updates" and false hopes of a future.....

s2 is dead. HistorX is awesome, and the insane amount of tracks you can race on rfactor allows innovative league events that make things interesting and exciting.... going to that new track, learning it then beating your buddys or just discussing about it is fun in itself. Everybody memorizes those same LFS tracks and theyres nothing to talk about.... just the same race for the last 5+ years....

why even bring up talk about arcade racing games.... i mean are they even worth talking about..

highly anticipating rfactor 2.... huh what? mods? large community? Actual online racing atmosphere?
all of which lfs lacks.

maybe devs should get a business model that is suit to their highly priced product.

Hire a marketing team, but the time for that has come and gone...

it seems like they're forcing this sim to an exclusive crowd of diehard fanboys, and that aint good for business... scawen is business right, or is it?

Quote from Californian :Good point, that is good option.
But the point is: if you can't make content/don't have time for small releases, maybe you could allow the community to implement their own content, the monthly track contest would be a nice and fresh thing. That would relive some frustration that is growing among the community.

Still the lack of content thing is only one of the matters arising....then there's the whole "abandoned" feeling, even though we know that Scawen is alive and working on tyre physics, we haven't had much...Information, facts, dates to wait for and have been left just handing on..

spot on. Rfactor has a superior online experiance, it only takes a few minutes of google searching and downloading to be compatible for a certain server/gametype. Alot shorter then waiting for something new from Scawen, tweaking is the only thing that has made lfs interesting for me lately thankfully. Imagine how popular lfs would be if had a modding community that was supported by devs.... but no were suck wondering what if.... lfs was still interesting...

this game is slowly dying.... the devs are even slower to make it more entertaining......

Wtf happen to the racing online, its just a bunch of kids drifting!

disrepectful to people who pay a premium to race on a sim that is 5+ years old with minor texture updates, i dont recommend this sim to many, it was fun but it has lost that originality.

s3 is not on my list of future sim purcahes due to the track record of the devs. nothing will change with s3, if it ever comes out.

Quote from mrodgers : you can't expect a million servers full of many racers when only 5 in the US are using LFS......

either way the number of online s2 players is kinda weak, especially compared to the demo... jus sayn. The game is awesome, i mostly just play it singleplayer, unless i find a decent race server.

im kinda disappointed in lfs, not as many servers as i would of thought, most are cruise or drift hopefully i find a good server thats 24/7. The new version seems to got me more servers actually.
