I thought the FBM wasn't in the game yet

How do people switch between cars in LFS?

I'm going to order a Logitech G25 and I was wondering if the 6 speed gate shifter (I think it's called that) will work in LFS. The main reason I'm buying it is because of LFS.

Also stupid question, do the gears go up to 5 or 6?
