Hi Astroboy,

No i do not have s2, hence me saying i still have to purchase the game.

I suppose what i am asking is, is there a place in teams for Driver like myself that are hardcore race fans, decent/fair racers, have the dedication to only 2 or 3 nights a week racing in sprint format.

I'm not counting out Enduros, nor am i counting out more than 3 nights a week. However, i am wondering for someone like myself who wants to get into the team environment etc if there is a place for us. Or do team members have to be hardcore gamers that are on everyday to participate in long races etc.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Months ago i downloaded LFS. I was running it on my old 32MB graphics card machine and getting FPS of around 5-17 max. Recently i put together a new machine, 3Ghz, 880GT graphics, 2GB mem. I loved LFS with the old hardware, and with the new hardware it unfreaking believable. Good job to the creators.

Soon i'll be getting the NET (work atm) and will be looking to join a team and league after the purchase of the game.

My question is, is there any Aussie racing teams out there ? If there is, how serious must one be to compete. Ideally i would like to do maybe 2, max 3, races per weeks and they would have to be Australian time nights. If this feasible, or not possible.

Thanks all

Ryan

Thanks for the replies,

I have downloaded and played the Demo. If i knew nothing about cars and games physics the experience would've completly blown my mind . But as i expected with the current technologies the way they are etc the game was pretty darn good. Playing with 3 or 4 cars is about the limit of the Pc that i have before it becomes a slug.

I'll definately be upgrading the machine, not just for this game, but for others as well. The creators have done a really good job with this game, and the online aspect is basically the draw card for me.

Once i get the dollars together i'll be upgraded and getting the S2 license. For now i dont think i'd get the best out of the license as a full field of racing is what the hart desires.

Thanks Heaps guys

Hey guys/ gals,

My name is Ryan. i'm currently downloading the demo for LFS. I have a few questions and was wondering if anyone could help me out. Firstly, i've got a 1.7 gig cpu, 32 mb vid card (shoot me, i know), and 512 ram. This game looks pretty kool, and as i am getting back into gaming i was wondering what graphics card people would point me in the direction of. I'm thinking i'll need a complete rebuild, cpu etc, but thats stuff i'm familiar with. (what are the games specs anyhows)

The second question is is my G25 wheel compatible with this game ? I've done searchs on a few of my questions and haven't been able to find precise answers. I'm assuming the wheel and pedals are, but how bout the clutch and h pattern ? (Bloody awesome wheel, works on my nascar games etc but haven't goten full use as the pc is a bit slow)

The third question that i'm asking may create a bit of a situation here, lol, as i've found a few heated threads concerning it, but has there been anymore consideration to real life cars ? Say lisencing is a no go, are there add ons that exist to cater for certain racers needs. In particular i'm a Holden man that lives in Australia, but i'd settle with any other sedans in the works of that have been completed.

Thanks for any replies...

Ryan
