I guess NoQuarter helped me get signed up just in time.
He was enjoying a friendly race Sunday afternoon when he began to experience chest pain. The Fire Department called me as they were transporting him to the hospital. He had a heart catheterization and an angioplasty (the balloon thing) last night, and is worn out but resting in the Cardio Intensive Care untit, probably for a couple of days. He had a blocked branch artery near one of his stents. For those who know Ed, this is his fourth cardiac event in the last 3-1/2 years. They were waiting for more blood work as of 10p.m. Eastern to determine if he had another heart attack as a result of this blockage. I'll be back at the hospital in a few hours, and will post an update in a few hours. He expects to be back home by Wednesday.
