Hhmmmm v strange my system is almost identical i.e E8400, 4Gb reaper ram, P5N-D mobo, 260gtx, vista x64 with sp2! and its fine *sctratches head*
Stupid Q but each and every driver is updated to the lastest yes? inc bios?

Are you running it through the G25 profiler or shortcut?

Hi all, after a little break i re-installed LFS 8] and my G25, the problem is that when driving in a straight line or at a complete stop the wheel jerks side to side so much so that it makes it imposible to drive at anything over 15% feedback in game and 100% in the drivers.
Any help would be appreciated 8]

I have pretty much the same system as your self and whilst i only put LFS on again today i did have the same problem, i re downloaded it, extracted to desktop and moved the extracted files to c/program files x86 then ran the setup from there and it all works no problems.

yep get rid of the gadgets turn off aero this is why im still on xp untill all the good components that will run vista and dx10 are a bit more sensibly priced

hi, ive just upgraded my card with no better results its actually worse i got a nvidia 8800gt from a ati x1900gt top fps the same but with a full grid im gettin down to 12 fps where as before the lowest was about 35ish

sorry dont have a scoobie doo on that one i have never reformatted a drive before just back up everything before hand

hi, i dont think downloading xp would do anything and wouldn't advise installing it over vista as i belive your o/s would then revert to xp. which wouldn't be a problem if you had the vista disk to put it back.
As for jerkyness vista take a lot more resources from your pc so more ram/better grfx card/ cpu upgrade would be advisable. 30 fps is ok in some games but racing and most new games the holy grail is 60+ fps you could try at lowering your resolution and other graphical settings this would help but i dont know how much exactly. Incidentaly i read somwhere that you might get an increase if you up the grfx settings i dont know if this is true to vista or the new dx10 cards but worth a go. Hope this helps

Hi all Sorry if this is a repeat but its slightly different to the rest.
I've been racing online for a good few months now and used to use an ATI x1900gt 256mb card, the other day i recieved (and chuffed) to get an Nvidia 8800gt 512mb card.
Right the problem is with the old card i was getting 120fps hot lapping and anything from 45-120 online, with the new one im getting 115 tops and online down to 12 fps!!!!! i've tried most things with the drivers from nvidia and fiddled with the lfs settings a bit was origonaly 85-95 hot lapping.
Now as as test the old card ran the new game crysis at between 5-12 fps the new one a constant 27 fps(which in the game is actualy playable). If you no about the card and the game (crysis) i reckoned i should be getting anything upto say 180fps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi all, i have been messing about with the downforce settings on lfs for a while now but do not understand one thing. With the setup screen downforce what does the test speed option do? I have tried the wiki manual to no avail, can someone explain all to me plz.

being thick again but when i press 2 give it a name then i race finish race then go take a look at replay and it only gives me from the light sequence till about 50ft off the start line realy buggin me now any help would be appreciated.

Hi all i think i am being a bit of a numpty but here we go anyway. I am wanting to save and replay my online races. simple as that, i have searched numerous websites downloaded fraps (which saves 4 different files insted of 1 and each does not show the actual race). So can anyone help plz. Thanx in advance.

Hi all, i am just about to get the s2 liscence and was wondering if the liscence is transferable. What i mean is in a few weeks i'm going to wipe my hard drive so i have brand a new and shine o/s (xp). Will i still be able to download the game as i will have allready paid ?
