Quote from Aleksandr_124rus :In my opinion, it would be nice to add more configurations, I used all 4 of this, in my mod, which is very little for the ideas that I have. https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1972068#post1972068
I also know mod makers who created mod packs based on one car with dozens of different options, for expanding the body, bumpers, spoilers, hoods, all sorts of details, etc. And they are very indignant about only 4 options that need to be applied to one mod.

It would be just as great for cruise servers to use the ability to tune and modify based on such models.

And not only for them, it would be useful to anyone who likes the mod, but does not like a particular detail or lacks something. And he can find this in other configurations

That is a good one to think about!

We should spread this news! Mods is what WILL change the game plus track editor later on! Great news! Thanks Scawen

Quote from Scawen :I'm not sure there's much more LFS can do as it seems to be generating the image correctly, as seen in your screenshot.

The only thing I can think of to try at this point is to make sure "Resolution adjustment" in LFS is down to 100%, so it goes with the recommended render target size.

To everyone who deals with this problem!! I found a FIX for this but you all have to confirm that.

So the fix for Reverb G2 skewed image:

Go to WMR settings/ Headset display tab / Experience option> put it to "Best visual quality" (everything else i have to the max 1080p>best resolution>90hz)

I dont really know why but this finally fixed it. Hope this helps guys

Some time ago i reported that everything worked great on the G2 but im facing the same issue. I dont know what happened...

Got the G2 finally. Tested in LFS and no issues at all. Tried it on older versions of LFS and one of my eyes was not equal in height i think. I applied a WMR fix from "darkdrive" and it was OK after.

Ran LFS on 200% supersampling in the G2 and it looks like playing on 4k display just amazing!

Yesterday was doing tandems Xrr vs Fzr on a well balanced setups. Cars are very similar in speed and grip, Scawen did great job! The only issue left to my opinion is tyre overheating. I own a 460hp drift car and brand new semislicks can last much much longer in rl. But quick tip for you all: fronts on Supers, rears on Normals😉 good handling and longer lasting rears

After testing this patch for around 3 hours we found several questions:

Totaly understand that following points are very hard to change but still need to mention.

1. H-shifting for all GTRs (not only FZR)

2. XR/FZ/R has different suspension arms setup DoubleWishbone (XRT is a MacPherson and feels much better for drifting)

3. Due to XR/FZ/R wheelbase width car feels too agressive during transitions.

4. Wheel turning without hands moving after 540.

5. Pit limmiter is a NO Smile

6. Tyres are dead after 1 lap

Summarizing, this update is like fresh air in a stuffy room. Have to say thank you for beeing such a great support. My opinion is that XRD is the best solution in the future with the ability to configure vehicle settings more widely without interfering GTR class cars and grip racing. Drifting has become worldwide culture that needs its own class Smile Thnks to LFS/devs for beeing one of the best at it!

Quote from klbbadd2002 :
My only dislike is the XRR is not H shift. Not sure if this is something youd consider changing or making an option because I for-see it not being used much in drifting being sequential only.

Scawen, drifters do need H-shift!

Absolutely agree with Alexandr_124rus! Just want to add something i think is important to test those GTRs by drifters who have big experience in LFS drift and also real drift. Those 335s in front can make this update just useless. XRT with its power doesn't need more then 55 of angle. RAC is almost never used to drift(due to its sensivity and short wheelbase). LXs same as RAC.

So basically or GTRs with less tyre width or XRT with more power and minimal wheel spacing adjustments(+-3cm).

XRD is the answer to everything!

Thank you Scawen for supporting drifting community

Exactly the same issue with me. I updated from CV1 to the S, frames dropped to 80 obviusly but stutters are killing my eyes. In other simracing games everything is smooth.

Quote from PopnLochNessMonster :Couldn't you just give XRR and FZR more steering lock and normal tires? Or is there a problem I'm overlooking here

It can be an easy solution also!!!

Quote from driftbrk :I don't think that my point of view is important or not but anyway lets wait and see what Scawen is going to do for us, he already did something for the drifting people and that's a good start in my opinion.

Every point of view is important! Im sure Scawen and other devs will support drifters even more from now, these guys are smart and they can clearly see what is going on in LFSWORLD. Its just a matter of time. And now I feel that they are working on LFS even harder.

Quote from k_badam :This doesn't need adding, give us normal cars that racers can use.

If you dont want doesnt mean that people around LFS also dont.

Respect motorsport in general. PeaceLFS

Quote from nacim :No need to quote the whole post though.
Elaborate yes, but don't spam ideas with that need too much work or are just plain useless or dreams, or this thread will end like track and cars that we want to see in S3: useless.

All my ideas are pretty simple to develop using the same base car. I dont see anything bad in spamming suggestions related to D version of these cars. We just have to keep in realistic. Btw this is my kind of dream for LFS.

Quote from vitamin9611 :I think, that FZD and XRD it's nice idea.
BUT:
If it is the drift car, then this car need to have a lot of settings, which driver can to change for good result for control car.
More power needs more grip from tyres and others changes of suspension

Caster:
+0.0 to +10.0 grad.

Toe:
Front from -1.2 to +2.00 grad ( Important)
Rear from -1.2 to +2.00 grad ( Not important, but need to be)

Motion range of suspension:
Front ride height reduction from 0.200 to 0.040 m (rear not important)
Front and rear stiffness able to 200 N/mm !!!

And a little bit about tyres!!!!!!!!!!
It is very difficult to do, BUT:

IN my opinion it need to be like this.
IMPORTANT
Front:
R16 to R18
Width: 195 - 245mm
Profile height in % 35-55

Rear:
R16 to R18
Width: 195-275mm
Profile height in % 35-55

This recept is your future. If do this, LFS will be one of the best simulators for drifting.

Well done. More ideas. We need to help our devs elaborate.

Quote from nacim :It would be awesome to embrace drift community in LFS with a XRD. And if the recipe works well, maybe apply this to the FZ5, with a FZ5D.

Sure! Same idea goes for FZD Thumbs up

Dear Devs and Drifters,

Speaking from everybody in drifting community, WE want to suggest new professional drift car for our so much loved simulator.

X R D

D - stands for DRIFT

EXAMPLE

What are the basic reallife specs we need for a pro drift car?

ENGINE

Turbo Boost adjustment from 1.2bar up to 1.6bar (or just fixed value/need to be tested)

SUSPENSION

All the adjustments we already have on XRT version, plus:

Adjustable Caster (0 up to +10)
Adjustable Steering lock (already in 0.6Q10 test patch)

WHEELS

(not really important but could atract people)

18 inch wheels:

245 fronts and 265 rears
with 35/40 sidewall

Normals or Supers or even New Drift tyres that can last longer and have more grip.

BODYWORK

(not really important but could atract people)

Nice clean drift body kits would be awesome.

WEIGHT

Real pro drift cars usually weights around 1000-1100kg

Basicly that is about it. Lets see what You guys think of this idea. Also same idea goes for FZD.

Quote from BeNoM :"btw most of people what i see when they post videos from drifting with tweak what they only change is wheelbase or engine power not many change steering range."

Say what now? 90% of tweak drifters change the steering angle.

Agree. They don't often go all the way to 60+ but still more then stock for sure.
