as the title suggests, ive not played since s2 but i used to love the game. strayed away from racing games for years but got me a htc vive a few weeks ago and like playing project cars.
always love the custom skins and custom car tuning etc on this as well as the community.
after coming back to it i see s3 is out.
is it worth upgrading now? or play s2 for a while again to get back into it?

i asked this a while ago but my post just got flamed for some reason.......
im going, but pretty much to only see, machine head chimaira, ill nino, devil driver and kill switch engage.

they completly cocked up the stage times tho.
2004 was the best year/line up, 2005 was decent 2006 sucked this year is even worse:'(

fxo's do cause alot of prolems tho. with the xrt and rb4 u can keep some very close racing but then u get the guy in the fxo who's faster down the straights yet they still seem to wanna ram you through bends......

yeah i get this alot to, ive raced with both moose and col quite a few times my race name is h3rb i always apologise for bad moves i make etc and let people re pass me if i gain advantage by spinning some1 etc (no intentional)
there are so many bad racers in the last week or so.
i was racing on soc5r today and going down the final straight some guy behind me in an fxo nudges my back end and spins me out making me go from 2nd to 9th!!! he then tells me it was my fault i should have avoided him to let him pass, i mean wtf i was going in a straight line... i put a post on here the other day about the standard of racing but hey atleast its not every race

iv oted yes but i also belive the races should be longer, i was in a "endurance" race on the short soc track a few days ago, it was 6 laps with a pit stop wtf.....

ive said its never about the car its about the driver! and if that is last years time attack then its quite possibly the roadster version of the mr2 which only has 220bhp and its pretty naff....
how can you tell me what i have and havent beaten or driven around the track? i think you no we're right when we say scoobys suck thats why you so devensive

i agree with you, having driven scooby's, mr2's and renault meganes on track days, i even managed to been a honda nsx round donnigton, ANY 4wd car doesnt belong on the road imo...

maybe u should start a CTRA team... and everyone in the team could be a server admin? the trouble is with the mpr's is that u can only really send 1 at a time and if an admin see's the indcident as an accident then nothing will happen, but if the person is ramming every race does this mean we gotta send 5 or 6 mprs?
a race team of admins would be quite a good ide if u ask me.

i no what u mean its not always on purpose, i do it myself sometimes 2 especially in big packs if i brake to give the guy infront room some1 else rams me and i still hit them lol
but say if its just me and 1 other guy racing and i spin him as i try to over take or something i always let them back infront, i dunno if i should be doing it but he was infront untill i spun him so i feel its only right.

i love this game its so much fun!
but some nigths i just dont wanna play, i only really use the CTRA servers because they give u something to play for and aim at etc.
i try to race as clean as i can, when im in a pack im constantly letting off the gas or tappin the brakes when things get to close as i see this as being cautious and quite good racing.
but why dont many other people do this? enterting corners im getting shuted from the rear because the guy behind doesnt anticipate my braking, if im following some 1 i do my best to adjust to thier racing line untill i see fit to overtake, i dont call bombing into a corner then slamming on the bakes just to get past clean racing. Surely its common sense to ease off the throttle when following into a bend etc.
racing is constantly ruined by rammers who belive its fine to bash u out of the way and then everythings better by saying "sorry "
sorry to ramble on just gets on my nervers a little, dont get me wrong some nights i can play for hours with 30 clean race's and other nights i can racer for 30mins and get rammed off into a wall every race.....

Happened to me tonight, i was racing on 1 of the FE tracks and some guy rear ends me on the way into a bend and begins beeping his horn and ramming my rear...

no wonder i never win race's these guys seem to be in every race i enter
but congrats lots of time well spent
moose and EasTon was in some races with u tonight good fun, was pretty funny seeing moose fly 80ft in the air after tapping 1 of the VERY annoying red and white barricades

i no a few people who run the low 11's high 10s with mr2s.
scooby's are just as laggy as evos, and they rev very badley not to mention the turning circle.
theres a vid on youtube of a race around the tsukaba circuit in japan, in the race there is:
mr2 turbo rev 4
scooby sti
supra
rx7
mx5
evo 8
and a bmw m3

the mr2 comes first, followed by the supra, then the rx7, then the evo 8, then the scooby sti and the bmw m3 finishes last.
all the cars are stock, its never about the car its ALWAYS about the driver.

i hate arrogent people like urself, ur mate owned an import company and had an mr2.... wow, my dad has the richard burns replica scooby and out of that and my mr2 id pic the 2 any day the scooby is too boring to drive, and if u cant drive an mr2 on the limit then ur a crap driver... and if u need 4wd to keep u safe then well that says it all really.

and yes 0-60 in 4 seconds a cheap rwd car....

basically ive had s2 for around a month now. i race every day for 2 or 3 hours mainly on the CTRA servers.
ive just looked through the "teams" section on this forum but most of them are drift teams id like to join a team in which i can be tought lines for tracks with decent setups etc.
i race anything on any track and im a clean racer.
i can design skins and websites as im pretty handy in photoshop
any1 out there interested pm me or something?

my used to import jap cars, he brought in a MR2 turbo, it was crap

the ferrari body kits are ugly. yeah.
and 200kgs is quite alot in a car, so crap speed as standard its 0-60 in 5.2 seconds with less then a grand u can get that to just over 4 seconds. crap handling?? in the yet yes but in the dry its fantastic. ive seen mr2's beat lamo's, ferraris, scoobys and evos.
let me guess u love good old honda civics also n all the crap like that.
for under £5000 an mr2 is the best performace car you can get

i have a 1992 rev 2 mr2 and its fantastic.
the new mk3 roadsters a little crap yes but the mk2's are fantastic

i have a dfp, but i use 720 and i use the shifter sucks that i dont have a clutch tho....
i love racing like this because its much more fun....
i dont really car about winning too much but if i win the its a bonus...
i think i have more 2nd places then 3rd and first but that will do for me atleast i no i earned it properly. i dont see why some body would spend £200 on a wheel only to use it in the same manner as a £20 wheel.... and how can people play a race sim with a mouse and keybored. u wouldnt play an army sim with a steering wheel...

also as u said mid engine cars usually have better handling then people may think, people thing becuase they have a wieght sitribution of lets say 62rear 38 front ( my mr2) they think its gone huge oversteer problems.... but nope they stick to the road like glue!
and as for the hair dressers car.... i no more hair dressers who drive things such as bmw's although i no 1 who drives a 350z but hes a real great chap
