First of all a big thank you to all who have competed in this series. It's been a blast, and a high level of fair racing. Adminning this has been pretty easy for us. I want to thank DaveO for the huge adminning contribution he payed for this series. Put in alot of time so everything went smooth.
I want to congratulate V.Belenzada for winning this championship. You were in a class of your own ala Vettel! I am kinda glad though Chopper broke the winning spree Anyway, was hoping to see a battle between you and L.White, but it wasnt to be. Congrats Chopper on finishing second. And L.White third.
Thank you all for making this series possible and as enjoyable as it was! Hope to see something like this again next year.
Cheers,
Triz
Here is a standings update. Our site maintainer is having no internet connection so a mirror for the time being then:
PW: Will be using the same password that we used during previous round.
A lil Reminder: One mandatory pit stop with full service; you must take 4 tires and fuel. Repairing damage is not mandatory. In case this is your first race with us, please read our rules on the main page : http://www.speedsims.net/fxr/fxr_rules.html
This is a nice high speed track with some good places to overtake
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to discuss it in this thread.
Race 3 is to be run next week! Here are the details:
Date: 3 September 2011
Time: 22:00 CET
Course: South City Classic
Duration: 46 laps
Server: SpeedSims
PW: Will be using the same password that we used during round 2.
A lil Reminder: One mandatory pit stop with full service; you must take 4 tires and fuel. Repairing damage is not mandatory. In case this is your first race with us, please read our rules on the main page : http://www.speedsims.net/fxr/fxr_rules.html
This is short track with a tricky narrow chicane so that will be challenging the first few laps Also when exitting the pits requires caution and some sensibility
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to discuss it in this thread.
CET is Central European Time. Basically using the timezone in which germany, france, the netherlands etc etc lay in. I believe thats GMT +1... now that daylight saving time is used that'll be +2 GMT or CEST (central euopean summer time)
we use this clock for 'syncing' everyone for our races.
As for signups. You do have a point, as we'll have to filter out who is planning to stay and who drops out. Since we do not know this in advance we'll have to find out.
Like I said though, the signups are 'momentarily' closed. we'll take a look as of how were going to get everyone to stick with us through the series. We may even enlarge the reserve list like you suggested. We'll come back when we made up our mind on this.
Hmmm thanks for the heads up but I am wondering, do you have a mathematical formula to come up with that 40% figure? I'd like to know how you get that figure. Or is it from your own experiences? If only 40% shows up that means we'll need 60 people to sign up. Can't be that bad right?
Due to the number of people signing up, we have now a filled signup list of about 30 of which a couple are already on a reserve list. We have closed the signup thread for now. Since it is still a month to go and some people might not show up, there is a chance we may reopen signup again in a later stage.
Looking forward to see the field at the first race in the first week of August!
i guess I have been to quickly in joining this series. I forgot that due to private reasons on wednesday i haven no time in the set timeframe for the race.
Hmmm... I Didnt know Speedsims 2 was an open/public server for everyone to stop by and join in to? I suppose that this isnt really the idea behind that server mr BMX. U might have admin rights there, but it's not a server to just use for everybody i think. If it was the idea to do what u do here, it would be public and on display in the multiplayer window of LFS when querying servers....
That u wanna run a team, thats ok. But i dont think its ok to just put the server open just like that.
