This can be an annoying problem. I find that the person that hit me (it usually is that way round, trust me!) Votes and then everyone else just kinda presses 1 for the hell of it.
As people above say its only 24 hours and anyway there are plenty of servers without vote ban so you may as well use them.
Rocky speedhacked, and generally drove like an idiot. That was wrong.
But he must have known that if he made a public apology on the forums he was going to get generally flamed to death and then beaten with a large mallet several times over.
But he did it anyway, thus surely proving something?! From what little I have heard about the 'speedhacker stereotype', They are just idiots who do it for no particular reason, or just to cause trouble. None of these 'standard' speedhackers would ever have the balls to make an apology such as this.
Therefore I reckon, based on that and the fact that rocky is a nice person (He comes on Lfs Bangers a bit, or used to) he's probably gonna change.
However what I'm not saying is that anyone here is wrong or right. Nor should people be disallowed to not believe him. I'm not exactly the strictest person on LFS, but some people are, and they totally have the right to think what they like, and make actions based on that belief.
You know you've played LFS too much if you find yourself karting on a track you have never raced on before and try to press '4' to see the racing line!
Well, Even though I have only been LFS'ing for a year and a half, £24 is a very reasonable amount. The Flexibility it has means it never seems to become repetitive.
I like to take a lengnthy and relaxing holiday in the south of france, then travel to the nearest boutique for no immediately apparent reason and promptly shovel two and a half million minstrels into my mouth...
Bangerwise, I have been a main player for about Three-and-a-half months now, and I think I have got to know a few things-
-Barriers are a big problem for us Banger people. It's causing us to have harsh lossy rules which can easily be done accidentaly. Harder barriers would really help
-A couple more slower road-going vehicles would be nice. Maybe even a van if it's possible, that would be a laugh!
-Bangers have become far more popular than EVER in the last few months. When I started racing it really was a select few. Now new regulars pop up all the time and hundreds of others love playing bangers once every now and then!
I seem to remember when in my earlier LFS days, there never seemed to be many people on any banger servers (thus i didn't become a regular) but now I do think the popularity has exploded!
I totally realise if the LFS masters (!) Don't have time to do this sort of thing to integrate into S3, but if the amount of banger users continues increasing at such a rate, it might be something to think about!
I do believe this would help other aspects of LFS as well like cruising (which I admit to doing a tiny tiny bit of) as I hit those barriers all the time then have to pay someone a vast sum of money for help, or if not just sit inconvieniently there not being able to do anything for 15 minutes.
Other things might benefit too like CTRA's Bump 'n Jump, or any custom layout of any kind.
OK, persuation Over, thanks a lot if an LFS official reads (and maybe even considers) putting these in S3. I hope this post will help push the idea a little bit.
More realistic damage would be nice too by the way
I use a keyboard currently, I therefore constantly get owned in any kind of serious racing. Which is why I have taken up LFSBangers and Stop the AI. At least i don't get thrashed quite so much then!
Well I have not been playing LFS for very long (about 9 months i think) but I can say that Lfs isn't ultra-realistic, and that is why i like it.
I am not one for super real games because it does take the fun out of them.
I do think lfs is real enough not to be outdated but unreal enough to still be fun.
I know many will disagree but I would've given up long ago if it wasn't enjoyable
