I've been working for SYE on a W960i app for the last 6 months (these views are all my own and I don't represent any company).
The user interface on the W960i can seem a bit strange, but after you get used to it, it's not too bad. There are some things you should definitely be taking advantage of, which other phones don't have:
- touch screen. As has been mentioned before, ScummVM is good on phones, but on a touchscreen phone I imagine it's truly awesome.
-8 gig storage. If you're on the train/bus/plane, it's great to watch movies on the phone as the screen can rotate and you can watch it in 4:3. You might have to re-encode the video to get it to play (from what I remember, H.263 at 320x240 and AAC audio is your best bet). With that amount of storage you're talking about tens of hours of movies as well as hundreds of hours of mp3s. The headphones that comes with the phone are excellent.
-apps. There are a huge number of applications out there for UIQ 3, but it really depends on what you want to do. Have a look on sites like handango.com for ideas about what can be done.
-the built in Opera web browser is pretty good and gets the job done. Along with wi-fi and/or a good data tariff you can check the LFS forums from pretty much wherever you are.
