I tried to find a (recent) thread like this but seems like most material is outdated.
I've been trying to run LFS on a Mac, and from tests on 3 separate computers I found out that the best possible way is:
Parallels (latest) + Windows 7
The interesting part out of all this is that I tried Windows 8.1 as a guest, also tried Windows 10 (and used up all my weekly unlocks in the process...) and Wine.
It's shocking that Windows 7 works WAY better as a guest OS to run LFS in than Win 8.1 or Windows 10. I don't know why this is, but I tried all kinds of VM/LFS setting, including vertical sync mentioned here (https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/85342) and I run on the crappiest possible graphics settings in LFS.
Anyone having similar experiences and can anyone confirm this?
How do you guys run LFS on Mac?
