Hello all, CAD is looking for someone who will write us an insim.
We have came up with some nice ideas but none of the members know how to program an insim. therefore we search a programmer to write it for us, for more info please contact me via private message (programmer will be rewarded in cash )

and if you where living on the north pole and didnt knew what CAD is all about, its a contact racing server so NOT a billionth cruise server!

Yes indeed, topic nr 2334534. I'm not gonna whine like that stig guy, but I think the last feedback we got from the developers about the progress was about 4 months ago (on LFS Forum). Imo I think the developers should use the main website more, even if they don't have allot of progress. Just letting the racers know that they still 'live' would be sweet & I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks about it that way

do you guys know that it was postponed to 'early 2009'?
that 1 or 2 guys made a mod for it faster then the lfs team?
that its the 8th month of 2009 ?
that there hasnt been 1 single sign of life on the homepage on lfs of the LFS team since 15 december last year?

Cmon guys, expand the team a bit. would be allot more fun for the thousands of racers...

So, as far as I have understood CAD server, it's more a racing - type of destruction derby. You can crash, but no suicide hits. By that it means that you have to try taking the corners, not just wreck and don't give a damn. It's a race, with allowed contact. That however, again, doesn't mean you can go full speed into the corners.

The actions of the admins on the server I canot speak about, since I have not much of experience with them. I just know I once got banned for saying that their layout was my layout, I have a replay of that but that would just be silly name and shaming over a thing that actually was just fun

So, in the end of the day, the admins on the server are overworked with all these strange people there, and maybe they do some mistakes every now and then, but in the end of the day it's the other people that probally is the problem of this server.
Beeing an admin on a DD server is an nightmare, trust me

Just so we know, the server is my team's one, not just mine, so please do not give me all the glory or my ego-meter rises to high

I will, in middle of august, most likely start doing some work on the server again. I will try creating some new layouts, and play around and see if I can get my team to rename the servers to Destruction Derby (for mostly race) and one named Total Destruction Derby , where basically anything is allowed, described more about it on the first page of this topic.
Either way, there will be more about this, so I will keep you updated on that front

End, waw. Finaly somebody who understands how hard it is to be a 'decent' admin on a DD server. I have a very stressing life, and its hard to keep myself cool on the server when everybody is whining. i dont think there passes a minute without whining... 'Can you change cars?' 'Can you change track?' and when you do it, half of the server whines 'Omg not those cars!' 'Omg this track sux im off!'... and for the people on the server its easy to say that we arent good admins, but i dont think allot of people are used to this. this isnt a cruise server. we dont have to ask people to talk english once every half hour, we dont have to kick a rammer once a day. its so much harder, but almost nobody understands how hard it is.

im [CAD] Lexani, leader & owner of the popular Destruction Derby server...
I would looove to add a racing insim on it, with points & lap ranks..
problem is, know NOTHING about programming, i barely know 10% of the admin commands..
Glenn Dierckx installed LFS lapper, but that brakes down every couple of hours, it also doesnt make rankings
(this kept showing up: Friendly rank: -/-)
this is what i would like on the insim;
Points for 1st, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10th place.
insim would also show how manny times you have become first, second and third on the server.
a top rank of the best times (top 10 but also top ranking of every car for example : !top rb4 then u see the best rb4 times & when u type !top10 u see the best times (also showed with car & playername) )
& if it would be possible, a pit counter.
pit counter would just simply count the times how manny pitstops you have done...

i would love it to get help cause i have no idea how to get started...
