It is a way to have some fun with paintbrush. You don't have to produce anything to sell. Not everybody owns photoshop or is willing to buy it for a new hobby like pixelcars. Moreover you can do it from every computer you are using in a free time (school, work your father old computer) since every win pc has paint. The work you put in by editing pixel by pixel the car is the fun of it (hence the name). "Photoshop Cars" just doesnt sound the same to me!
People must try it to understand, it is very funny but dont forget it is a game, a hobby. You do not have to take it seriously.
LAst thing, thanks to people opening this thread I knew this world and registered on their fourms.

In the beginnig I mounted the wheel to a small plastic table and put it below the desk like you when I was too lazy to put everything back in the box. after some time I bought a wheel stand wich is foldable and I solved all my problems. I have something tha holds my G25 firmly while playing, that wont fall on the ground due to wheel weight like the small table and that I fold away in a corner when I'm finished playing, even if most of the times I leave it unfolded to not have to readjust it everytime.
I spent some money but it was worth it.

Pointing me in a direction or proving me we are talking about mushrooms and not about mods for Rfactor so that I am totally wrong would make you look bigger and also raise your postcount better than than what you did with your 2 words. Come on, you cannot get of the car and everything is reduced to drive from point A to B or typing a command (or driving at 3 kph looking for an invisdible gold bar).

The only thing that I would like was a proper big map with highways and cities, something like waht there is in certain truck simulation games, but it is impossible in LFS so bear with it

No, I didnt miss that and the code at the bottom. Tried also writing in caps an writing random word in the team field though I have none. I'm trying again lets see what happens

Edit: now it worked! such a stupid thing: I didnt forgot the track name field but the answer is "Westhill International", while I was writing: "West Hill International".

Not be able to register, it keeps telling me field with asterisk are required though I filled everything

This morning I could finally try this server.
I need lot more practice, I know but I could see other people having same problem as me during slow corners and looking at the coping with them (much better than me anyway) was refreshing.
I started to feel out of place in other servers because I was never able to outmanuever other drivers because I was forced to take different lines/braking points.
Today, instead I felt thrilled because I saw people driving like me and this made me return the will to race and to learn the tracks I never race on (like Aston).
Really a good job!

I don't know if this thread belongs here, if not I ask a moderator to move it please.

I searched all the addons pages and google too but I wasnt able to find if there is a utility wich let you change the steering degrees profile setting from within the game so you dont have to do it every time you change car.

I remember long ago i red of a guy who created some macros that let him do this by pressing keyboard buttons, but I have no clue of to do that and I will prefere to have an insim or background app that detects the changes ingame and then reflects them in the profiler.

Do not feel guilty f people with different wheels or setting cannot enter; they have the whole LFS server list to choose from.

Is this server permanent or it is on only on particular times? Because I think I will not be able to try it until a couple of days.

There is a thing I donot understand:
Without considering the modern gearboxes wich have automatic and sequental modes a classic automatic has this layout:

PRND12, where "N" is the neutral. You should have a button on the side of the lever wich let you move the shifter once pressed, something like a clutch button.
Now, if the man had an automatic he still could be able to disengage the engine and then stop right?

I tried to stay low on budget.

For me a social game wouldbe more something like a mmorpg than farmville, because the first actually is a game.

I know, technically both are games because are pieces of software but, for example, would you think that the company who made Gran Turismo or the same LFS is equal to the team who made you cellphone's F1 game?

Apart from that, while playing Half Life 1 or 2 you follow a story, think how to defeat those Marines and their tactics, have fun and in general have a great time. While in restaurant City et similia you only spam your friends mailbox or the game page to invite more people and collect more ingredients. I wont call this social. In a mmorpg at least you form parties, do quests kill mobs, but mmorpg are not considered real games from people who plays Zinga.

Edit: what I'm trying to say is that Valve an Zynga are on different sectors, Zynga shoud fight with the other Facebook sotware developer
