How do I exact know when the clutch overheats? And what can I do
to avod it? I have two pedals, not three, so I haven't cared about using clutch before (think it has been set to auto-clutch. When I have changed gear I've not let go of the throttle).
I haven't really tested the patch very much, but I am interested
in how I must change my driving, compared to the earlier versions,
and when I knwo my clutch is broken. Will it be fixed when I do pit in?
will the AI cars stop bumping into me me when I am driving? I understand the cars now can do the pit in, but that's the only improvement? For me it's more important that they're not as dumb as a slice of bread, living their own lifes, bumping into me here and there as I pass them or they pass me.
The reason I came with this idea, is because the setups are confusing for us who don't really care about car tweaking, but still like the car action itself. I have to remember not only the track name, but also the track number and if it's reversed or not. And all these numbers, I've heard that the best setups have the highest number. Well, then I don't need the setups with lower numbers, because they're not as good. If this idea can't ble implented in LFS, then why not release a "setuppack for noobs" (don't like the word, but I couldn't come up with something better when I wrote this) with reduced setup possibilities?
There should be an option for us who don't care about car setups.
I want the best setup for a car to automatically be selected when I choose a track or a car. For example, if I choose a track first, and then a car, LFS will load up the best setup. The same happens if I choose a car first, and a track after that. Ready to go, no need to looking through all the setups, searching for the first two letters and the highest number. Or even looking at the "r" for reversed tracks.
Then I don't have to worry about if I really selected the best setup available, because the computer did it for me in one second!
Hi, would the developers considered doing it more easier to select a seup? For example, when you select a track and a car, the most up to date setup is loaded, giving you have the setup in the directory.
In multiplayer, I sometimes forget the name of the track, and can't find it in again unless I quit the server. I need the name when I want to select a setup for the car. Is there any way to show the track name after you have joined the server?
Another thing, in this example I join a server with a race on the track Aston Cadet (I guess that's the name, correct me if it's an incorrect trackname).
When I select a setup for my car, I really haven't any clue if I shall select Aston 1. Aston 2, Aston 3, 'cause I don't remember which number Cadet is in the tracklist.
What I'm really trying to say, is that I want a more easy way to select a car-setup. It's a carsim, allright, but not everybody care about setting up a car, and I really don't find the selection of carsetups user-friendly.
Is this things I only have to deal with, or maybe the developers can fix it?
thanks. I wondered about renaming the files so they included full track and car name, but maybe the short names just are things one have to get used to.
Some of the setups just include car name and drift or drag, no track name, which means they can be used on any track?
I don't know the difference between drift and drag
What does the letters X, F, G and numbers stand for? They are placed over the setups in columns... *sigh, so many setups for each track, how do I know which one is best?
How do I know which setup belongs to which track? I choosed first to download all setups, but in the game, during car selection, I can't find any information about which tracks the setup is made for. There isn't any ultimate setup for each car?
Read the sticky "I got banned - what to do?", about not crashing into opponents.
Therefore i find it very strange how AI cars doesn't care about this. At each corner, i drive carefully, trying not to hit other cars, but other AI cars doesn't care, I may get hit both two and three times when there's this "fish steam" in the beginning. Also, it's kinda frustrating looking in the mirror, watching a car comes behind you and bump into your back (happens very often), making you lose control and skid out of the road, missing any respectable score.
Also I find the opponents kind of hard, even at Newbie I'm one the last into the goal, pehaps because I consider safe driving and not destroying my tyres more important, instead of winning. But then I'm also a newbie at this.
I have no interests in setting up a car, and wondered if there is a way to load a setup for each car, for each track. I really have no clue about how a car is built, all I want to do is drive.
What's the difference between the three options hardtrack, rallycross and race? Is it just three different ways to race a track? Cause if I choose a rallycross setup, the other ai cars doesn't get the same setup.
